Electric Car? Bike? Yes or No

 :cat:
 ??? ???

My take is no because my home built in the 70's can't accommodate the charging (barely can run my window AC 220v)  and these remote charging stations you see at the grocery etc. are very. expensive. per kilowatt, not expert at delivery and consumption readings either, many mistakes with no proof available

This is because EVs today have issues that still need to be considered, ranging from battery life to driving range and functionality in bad weather like snow and sub-zero temperatures. As a rule, it’s still not practical to own an electric vehicle if you’ve got three kids, live in the suburbs, and have to fight your way through hours of traffic each day. Consider your lifestyle first, then consider if an electric vehicle would be a practical choice. For many, the answer is still “yes.”

In its current form, electric vehicles work best for young urbanites who live close to their employer and don’t have a lot of kids to drive up and down highways.

No, no, no, no, no. no. Let me be clear on this. No, no, no and no.

The thought of filling up on electricity doesn't sound feasible to me. I think it would be a real horror show.  :BangHead:

My next car will be electric but that won't be for at least 15 years.

I don't think I would like an electric car because I would not want to have to look for charging stations when I was driving out of town.

How Much Does An Electric Car Battery Replacement Cost?

In the same way, battery power has come a long way since development by Alessandro Volta. How much would it cost you to replace an electric car battery? Well, the replacement can cost anywhere from $1,000 to $6,000. It may seem like a steep cost but there are several different factors that come into play when it comes to replacement of the battery.

Last month we just leased a 2021 Toyota Venza Hybrid.

So far so good. You never have to charge it.It charges by it self when running.

You still put gas in it.A full tank is equal to almost going 500 miles.I think you need the gas only for start-up and hiway driving.

Pretty sure its listed as a $35000 vehicle.

Im a fan of Toyotas.I had 3 Rav 4s and a Corolla the last 10 yrs.Mostly leases.

I think the hybrid cars work because you can always you gas for long trips - right now it takes too long to recharge a car. if they fix that then electric cars will take off.

I'll take the electric car and affix a solar power generator to it.

i like the idea of an electric car but the charging stations and the cost to maintain are too out of reach right now. :rose: :pumpkin: :pumpkin: :peace:
