I plan to host family members for a July 4th gathering, which is part of our family tradition for many years, which we stopped due to the pandemic. Most of our relatives are vaccinated, so it will great to see them in person at last.

It may be the 4th of July, but I don't think it will be a happy one with so many people still not being vaccinated.

My daughter and I decided to go out for fireworks last night. We didn't have specific plans, but I asked her at 9:15 if she wanted to go. They had a 10:30 start time. Cedar Point puts on quite a show every year, but it is usually very crowded and a nightmare to get out of the parking lot afterward. But we decided to go over and had a good time. The beach was pretty crowded and there were hundreds of boats and yachts lined up out in the water, but it was a good show and we got lucky with where we parked. We were able to get out into the exit lanes without much trouble at all!

I understand; I'm still not completely comfortable being around large gatherings myself yet.

It is a little hard for me to get back into participating in events where there is a lot of people gathered.  We have finally started eating in restaurants as opposed to picking up a meal and going home to eat.  I don't have any plans to attend big 4th of July celebrations in our area and I am wondering how many of you are back into the swing of things and returning to all of the things you did before the pandemic?

I was able to see fireworks from my home due to the neighbors and their kids firing them.

will be staying home and keeping my cats in the house...

I went to a small cookout and saw a few fireworks as we drove home.  I still wear my mask but  not interested in going out in crowds even with the  vaccination.
