Ensure that the movers do not break or destroy your furniture.  The last time I moved, the movers broke a table because they heaped too many pounds on top of it.  Tried calling the owner, but no response from them.

Sorry when I moved from one town to another in the same state, I rented a U-Haul truck and my son-in-law loaded it and drove it to my storage unit.

Sorry, can't help much because I haven't been in that situation...I know when my parents moved years ago they used Bekins but I can't comment on that experience

You may want to google it and see what comes up and that way you can compare prices and read reviews to get the best deal.
