Lottery drawing for vaccinated people

I have never heard of a lottery drawing for people to get vaccinated before. 

Google it.  Several states are doing it I recon. I know at least one is. I saw an article about a woman who won and also a teen who won a free ride to college.  I don't remember the state.  I want to think maybe Ohio?

Exactly. It's very suspect. Of course they would say we want things back to normal but something sinister is going on.

Not really.  Just trying to come up with more ways to get people to take it.  Like extra pay at work or free coffee. lol  Dollar General pays $7.35 an hour.  You get 4 hours of extra pay if you take the "jab" so after taxes they pay you $26 to take a shot that may kill you.  O-kay.  Could me in!

Money for vaccine is a pretty effective way to get people to take it for sure. There a lot of people out there that do pretty much anything for more during and before the pandemic

Ohio is doing a million dollars a week for five weeks for adults along with five full scholarships for the youth.

I am so embarassed that Ohio was my home state. What a waste of taxpayer money. If the vaccines are so great, then why do you have to bride people to take them???

My wife and I are both fully vaccinated and my 14 year old is getting her second dose tomorrow. We are all three registered for this Ohio lottery and I will gladly accept a million dollars or my daughter's free ride to college if any of us are lucky enough to have our name drawn.


The lottery had zero effect on our decisions to get the vaccine as we were all either fully vaccinated or scheduled for it before the lottery was ever announced. But that wouldn't stop me from taking part in the lottery.


For those who argue that it is a waste of taxpayer money, you may be right. But there are billions upon billions of other taxpayer dollars that have equally been wasted on worse programs. So my opinion is that I would be more than happy to reclaim back some of my own hard earned money paid out in bogus taxes for things that I opposed. If that means that I am taking someone else's hard earned money paid out in taxes - so be it.

Yep, I wouldnt trust the government with my dog. And certainly dont trust them on a vaccine.

Nobody is going to take the vaccine just to be entered to win the lottery. They would just go buy a $1 ticket. People who are too stupid to realize you can't control other people's body or choices amaze me. Making a choice to not take this vax does not make people lazy.

I don't think you should be rewarded for taking a vaccine that could save your life.  If you take the vaccine that's great, if you don't that is your choice.  I did take the vaccine because I am in a high risk group.

the lottery to me is a waste of money.i think there are better ways to get people vaccinated.
i hope we do get heard ammunity since there are many people who are allergic or the ammine systems are compromised and they cant have the vax
