how does your garden grow
« on: March 28, 2021, 10:10:30 pm »
I am very excited that the sweet peas that I planted a couple of weeks ago has begun to grow.  Now I want to find some other stuff that I can start from seeds.
Is there anyone out there that is planting a vegetable garden this year and if so, what are you planting?

I planned one for the first time in 9 years but that's as far as it went. It has to be containers or very high raised garden but I couldn't get hubby to give me the containers that he used to use so I never bought the seeds and i can't get to the flea market to buy the plants. Hopefully, next year I'll get the seeds and start them myself. Probably have to buy all new containers unless I find them and hoard them where he won't find them. LOL

We already have eggplant, burdock, onions, sunchokes growing in the garden. Your sweet peas will probably be really sweet because of the weather!

My mom started growing some scallions which is easy to grow and takes up little space. I think she will expand her garden as the summer is approaching and we are still in lockdown mode.

My tomatoes are up in the kitchen, the peppers also, the basil has been in the seeds for for almost 3 weeks and are just starting to grow.

I have squash coming up and flowering all over already.  I was surprised it did so well so soon.  We are just putting out tomatoes and other plants and seeds.

At this moment, it's still too cold to work in my garden  or any landscaping.

I wish I could have a garden, but I live in an apartment complex so I can't plant anything unless it is in pots on my balcony.

We have garden beds but also grow in pots, too. There are smaller versions of many plants like cherry tomatoes and eggplants. Most of the aerogarden type plants grow in pots, too. We look up "patio" plants.

I don't go the Garden way.  Too much work and the soil here is all clay.

I'm excited for all the things you are growing.  I only have weeds right now but waiting for some motivation but may skip it this year and just play with my new grandson instead.
