My mom said the same thing as potluck6.  Way up in her late 90's she told me she didn't feel old until she looked in the mirror. She, by the way, lived to be 105!  Oldbuddy, you have the best attitude!  I wish I could have had all that in between experience starting at Sweet 16!

I'll need to remember this one. I am rapidly approaching 50 in less than a month and I came to the realization a few weeks ago that I am closer to 80 than I am to 18. But you've reminded me that I am going about this calculation all wrong!

I am 65 years old and a funny thing happened to me.  I try to walk every day of the week in my apartment complex.  I walked to the mail station one day and an older gentlemen was behind me.  When I turned around he looked at me and said "Are you pregnant again?".  I told him no I was 65 years old and didn't think that was possible.

     I agree: It is an attitude. Aging is a state of mind. Numbers do not mean anything.
     Some people think after 50 they are declining both physically and mentally.
     It is very sad for them. While others, think just the opposite: You are getting
     older: Wiser and better.
