Well let's see. They have no problem with stimulus money - it's all of the bullshit extra spending that has absolutely NOTHING to do with COVID aid that the Democrats throw in there that they have a problem with. So your characterization that they don't want to give people stimulus money is outright false.


Raising minimum wage will destroy so many small businesses and end up putting so many people out of work that it would make your head spin. Small incremental changes to minimum wage will not do this, but the proposed hike to $15 proposed by the D's will most certainly do this. People think that just because you own a business you are a money printing service with unlimited profits and funds. Most small businesses just barely squeak by and cannot afford to pay employees more than what they already do. IF the employee is productive enough then the business owner can pay them a fair wage to keep them on. But what about all of the bums who *bleep* around and have no motivation or work ethic to even do the bare minimum expected? Why should they be rewarded for that? Why should we tell the person whose entire business livelihood must be sacrificed that they no longer have the choice to pay the bum workers the minimum?


Raising minimum wage to that degree is forced socialism. It will kill small businesses and it will result in a lot of jobs being eliminated and HUGE spikes in unemployment from the employees let go who the businesses can no longer afford to pay. On the flip side - some industries will raise prices to cover those cost increases and we will end up paying more for the everyday goods and services that we already need. How is that helping the poor people?


I'm telling you - the absolute garbage that you people are being fed by the Democrats that you are just gobbling up and swallowing is so frustratingly mind-blowing! You have minds of your own.  Use them for crying out loud!!!

They're for the stimulus money. They've been for the schools opening for quite a while. They just aren't for the items that have nothing to do with COVID. Most of the items in the bill should have been done in the appropriations bills together or as amendments to the appropriations bill. In fact, that's what one of the budget offices stated.

BUT there is $1 Trillion still sitting in the Treasury that wasn't used yet. It was appropriated to several items in the "Rescue" bill, but they won't think of using it first in this bill. Does that make sense?

For one republicans have no say in this . Two if you print too much money than that causes inflation which drives up pries on everything which kinda means those stimulus checks maybe kinda worthless in a way in the long run.

If it wasn't for Trump and his Warp Speed emergency declaration, there still would not be any approved vaccinations.  It takes years for FDA approval of new drugs. The last administration did it in 9 months. They gave billions of $$ towards finding a vaccine and we had 2 by December and now 2 more. He also had everything set up for an orderly process to receive the vaccine but Biden repealed all the EOs. He essentially was starting over but is taking credit for the vaccines and how many were vaccinated prior to him even being inaugurated.

Most states are upping the minimum wage without the feds having to do it. Evidently, you haven't read the bill. There's a lot of garbage in the bill that doesn't belong. The Republicans had TWO stimulus bills last year that were voted down by the Dems. Now the Dems are in control and they're throwing all this garbage into every bill that has nothing to do with COVID or stimulus plans.

Are you happy that your grandchildren and great grandchildren will be paying for all this? Do you realize that in 3 months, the Dems have put this country in debt to the tune of $5 TRILLION? And they're not done. A $3 TRILLION infrastructure bill is coming up and that bill also has a lot of garbage in it that has nothing to do with bridges and roads.
