Sign of the Times
« on: February 19, 2021, 09:51:57 am »
My college-age daughter started throwing up last night and hasn't quit yet.  I, who stay at home about 90% of the time right now, immediately think "stomach flu".  Dh, who works at the jail, immediately thinks "COVID".  That never occurred to me.   :P

I know that this was an older post and likely no longer an "issue" but when you mention "college age" and "throwing up", my first reaction was binge drinking...

These days it's hard to tell, so probably best to have her checked out, COVID seems to have so many of the same symptoms as other illnesses so it's hard to tell. Hope it's not serious.

The symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, cough and shortness of breath. It is not an intestinal disease.

Stomach flu can definitely produce those symptoms. Not fun, but also not COVID-19.

What does "sign of the times" ::)  ::)  have to do with your first post?  And why in the world would you think "covid" because somebody throws up?  Or even "stomach flu".  You have a very negative attitude.  Glad you aren't in my life.  My first thought would be the person ate something that did not agree with them.  Nothing more.  But then again in the world we live in if a person sneezes idiots all around them freak out ready to kill them screaming you gave me covid.  This world can't take any more stupid.

NOT only pertaining to Covid UR right.Jesus said pestilence would be quite prevalent in the "Last days"of this Satanic world.

Since 1914 you can google ALL the disease that has come upon mankind and those that put faith in Jesus words certainly SEE the signs of it.

In your daughters case it may have only been a stomach bug or food poisoning, but with all the attn the virus has gotten this past yr its EZ to see why that would cross the mind of many.

On a more positive note,i have a good friend who is also a JW and he works in a hospital. He told me this flu season has been good cos of all the precautions many have taken with Covid, such as,wearing a mask, washing their hands often and social distancing.

Hope your daughter got better and was only the stomach flu and not anything serious.   Amazing how long it took this post to come around.
