Coronavirus Vaccine
« on: February 04, 2021, 07:43:44 pm »
My dad is getting the vaccine tomorrow. He's 74. He's a military vet, He feels the need to get it because of his age and also my aunt and uncle have received it. My aunt said she felt dizzy.
They let you sit for 20 minutes after the shot. Are you taking it?

Have you noticed this question is on almost every survey lately?  I have even noticed random people in public asking this question.

I will get it in time.  There is so much confusion in where and how to get it that I haven't tried very hard.  I know it will get easier and I will get it then. :)

I plan to as soon as it becomes available and I can get appointment; we have plenty of locations in our area to get vaccine; the problem has been the slow roll out of the vaccine so more people wanting appointments then vaccine available. Hopefully, this improves soon.

My husband is on a waiting list.  I will wait a few more weeks. My past history has not gone well with encountering side effects to a long list of drugs, so I am paranoid about putting anything new into my body.

I am not getting the coronavirus vaccine until all the kinks are out of it.  I refuse to be a project to be testing with.  I'll wait.

Same here, the 2nd day my arm was no longer sore.  I get the 2nd shot on Tuesday.  Working in a hospital gives you a different perspective, our entire family is getting it as soon as they are eligible.  I feel like they should give the teachers the vaccines too so that school can open again with safety for them.

I'm eligible for the over 80 group, but Oregon is having problems deciding who gets it and getting it in their arms. It sits on a shelf somewhere until they have to throw it away.

If it is on a shelf it needs thrown away anyway. It has to be kept frozen. I saw this morning where they said they need to concentrate on getting the people their 2nd dose instead of focusing on just the 1st does to everyone that will take it.  It's all a racket anyway. If you stay at home all the time you don't need it anyway.

My mother got the 1st dose last month, and has to go back this week for the 2nd dose, my dad is waiting to get it so am I.  I suffer from chronic asthma and my Pulmonologist put me on the list, but the waiting is long hopefully things will get better soon.
