Yes.  It is so annoying.  I block their number and they just come up with a new number.  I don't answer the phone I just ignore the call.

For some reasons, I am getting more telemarkers on my home phone and it was hard for me to block that on my home phone.

I get them on my landline and cell.  I tried blocking but they just come up with another number.  Now it’s at the point if I don’t know the number I don’t answer.

I somehow got on a list regarding life insurance and medicaire advantage and I get upwards to 10 or 12 calls per day from all over and it is driving me crazy.

Even the so called 'no call' lists do not work. I do not answer my phone if I do not recognize the number. I encourage callers to leave a message as I will block unknown numbers that do not leave messages. My mother was in a memory care unit and the caretaker called, failed to leave a message and was blocked. Unfortunately I missed som updates on my mother's condition because of my policy. Due to the nature of my primary job I sometimes have time to pull up the information on phone numbers calling me. If I have enough time I file a report with the authorities on the caller and their non-adherence to the no-call list. I had over a thousand letters requesting political contributions from my parents that I opened, placed in the postage paid, self-addressed envelopes and dropped off at the post office. E-mails are horrible and I have yet to figure out a way to make them stop. Once you request that a group stop, you get added to the list of two other like minded groups.

There is no such thing as a teleamarker. Do you think you could use spellcheck? It puts a squiggly red line under the word you are using if it is misspelled. The word you want is telemarketer. Thanks so much.

Are you from a foreign country, janesue, or a high school dropout? If you are, I'll leave you alone about your spelling. :-X
Otherwise, shape up!

Now to answer the question that you intended to pose to us: Telemarketers are a fact of life. Should anyone ever be forced into such a position, they at least deserve some courtesy. They're just doing their job, God love 'em. I politely let them go, but I never enter into a conversation with them.
