"After" Christmas sales ads

After Christmas sales .. I got this weeks food ads today, all start "After Christmas" thru next Saturday.  New for our area, usually we get no ads till the next week, then no ads till after New Years!  I like it!!

We did not get any ad this week for the grocery store.

    Yes, shop the next day after Christmas.
    It is just another Black Friday- Sales, seasonal discounts and
    inventory clearance.

Kind of busy buying Covid-19 supplies like gloves,masks, hand sanitizers, disinfectant spray‘s, antibiotic wipes, water, antibiotic soap, vitamin C’s.......to worry about stuff for end of the year Christmas sales.

I did not get much for after xmas sales this year. I only bought a few packs of labels, and a couple packs of xmas candy.I still have a lot of wrapping paper left from last year

Stores are in the business of making money.  They will call it whatever, it's still the same game.

Probably would have worked better with a stimulus check in the works, but over 800 thousand people filed unemployment claims recently, so "after Christmas" sales were probably the last thing on their minds this year, and we (the consumer) are going to pay higher prices in 2021 because of the bottom line the retailers got in 2019!! The "buyer beware" adage  never applied more than this year!  You really have to shop around to get a good deal!

I also saw an after Christmas sales ads online the other day from Walmart. Seems a bit strange as the ad features gifts for the holiday season.
