Returning Products
« on: December 02, 2020, 04:40:13 am »
So often, I see messages on products saying "If you're not satisfied, you can get a full refund"....

Besides Amazon...has anyone ever pursued that? If so, how did it go? Did it work out?

Just curious...

I only return stuff if it is broken or does not work. I return it to the store where I made the purchase. I don't order from random places online. The only thing I returned to Amazon was a pair of shoes that was 2 inches too long for my foot. I ordered the same size I wear in that exact shoe.

I have never returned anything on Amazon even though I should. I bought a christmas present one year that did not work at all, but i did not want to go through the trouble of shipping it back and waiting for a response, so  just took the lost. I would only return to a local store if I can not use the product at all.

We just had some canned Great Northern beans that were hard and tasted like dirt.  :confused1: I checked the label on the can and it had a money back guarantee on there, but it was partially ripped off and I couldn't really do anything without some research that I felt was not really worth the small expense. I have in the past returned things. It has always gone pretty well.

You should have contacted the company directly. Just have the info from the can handy as they will ask for it. They will usually replace the product.

I used to contact the company if the food product was bad or tasted funny.  Most were very generous with coupons.  I remember Kraft once sent me a couple of coupons and a $6.00 check.....all for a funny tasting box of mac and cheese.

I will let you know in a couple of days. I received something incorrectly in the mail and am returning it today. If I get my refund I will be happy.

I got some body wash in an order from walmart this past week. they were 2 gift sets and they both leaked some all over the inside of the box. luckily nothing else was damaged bust smelled good. I got on the chat with customer service and they refunded me the money. I asked if I should return the damaged product. they told me to dispose of them which I did

I don't usually return things, but when I do it's not usually a problem, I prefer not to return.

I have never returned on Amazon either but for ebay you just request a return shipping label and it's fine.

This wasnt a return, but my mom once wrote to a candy company because when she bought a candy bar, it was only half there (and it wasnt opened) They sent her a big box of candy as an apology. I be there was 5#or more of candy bars. lol she was pretty happy.

We have taken things back, Amazon is usually pretty easy to send things back to.
