I got suckered into buying that silicone egg thingie but it didn't work too well so I gave it away. I have a Sunbeam egg cooker that was mom's from the 50s. I love it. You put 5 eggs in it and measure the water in the lid for soft or hard boiled, puncture the pointed end with the "pin" in the lid and put them in the cooker and push the handle down to start it. It automatically cooks them perfectly. After that, I just put them in cold water, drain the water and replace with cold water and let sit in the water while i'm doing something else.  I eat a lot of eggs and this cooker is great.

I actually have something called the egg pod. I used it and it works good. I have a video on my you tube page demonstrating how it works :)

I put the eggs in cold water, bring to a boil turn off and leave them in until the water is cool.  Then roll on the counter and they pull off usually really well.  This was on a Martha Stewart show.

Thanks for the tip! I think I remember seeing this somewhere when I was thinking about doing the 3 day egg diet.

I just got something off the internet that actually worked for me so I wanted to share.

For peeling your boiled eggs:

Put your eggs into a steamer/strainer into a boiling water bath with one-inch of boiling water. Cover and cook for 13 minutes. Immediately after cooking, drain off the hot water and submerge the eggs in cold water (I use ice water) in a covered storage container and let stand for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes, empty out half the water from the container, close and shake the container 40 hard shakes. The eggs will peel easily. No; really! :star: Try it.

Me too- I've had to carve into the eggs sometimes just to get the shell off lol

I will have to try this method.   I hate it when the eggs don't peel easily.

With regards to Peeling eggs, I boil the eggs until I know they are ready.  I put the cooked eggs in cold water.
Then I peeled them and all comes out smoothly.

I'm going to have to try this. I've had the most awful time peeling eggs the last several times I've boiled them. Seems like none of the "hacks" I hear about ever really work but I'll try.

I agree with the above, but also try using eggs about a week ole or so. The fresher the eggs, the harder it is to peel them. My mom always made sure she used older eggs. Of course we had our own chickens, so it was easy to know how old they were. I guess it would be harder in the supermarket.
