Have you tried switchmail.com yet?
« on: September 24, 2020, 10:15:41 am »
I did a Tap Research Survey this morning that led me to search for ways to do physical mail from a website. You deposit funds for postage, then upload a PDF or DOCX file to send to any USPS address and send it.

Sounds like the ultimate solution for those who have more money than time. No buying stamps or going to the Post Office to send it. Do everything right from your home computer.

I am almost curious enough to try it, so I thought I would ask around and see if anyone else has.

This is the first I've heard of it.  I'm more likely to make a trip to the post office.  Still, it sounds like it could be useful for some people.

This is the first time I have heard of this but am really curious about how it would work and how much more expensive would it be to do it that way as opposed to going to the post office yourself.

First I have heard of it.  I don't think it is something I would use.

So whoever prints the PDF gets to read your personal stuff? No thanks, not that I ever mail anything anyway.

I've never heard of it.
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

This is the first time I have heard of it. The most similar thing I heard previously is that you can buy a machine which allows you to print your own postage at home. I will look into it myself. Thanks for flagging.

I've never heard of it. Sounds like another nail in the post office's coffin.

Wow interesting - thanks for the information.  I have not ever tried it but I likely would if I had much to mail ever because I do not go to the Post Office ever especially since all this Covid stuff started.  I don't ever have anything to mail though.

Just the opposite, it is making it easier to mail more and each time you use it the Post Office sells another stamp.

The benefit is greatest for those who don't ever have much to mail. No stocking supplies, running out of stamps, making last minute trips, or even thinking about all the background stuff. Get an idea to mail a letter and in a flash you type it up and submit it. Mission Accomplished!

That's good. The post office needs all the help it can get.
