Do you like them? These are my secret favorite food. I don't really find them in the store anymore :-X

Sounds like parts of the chicken we use to use when we went crabbing.

I LOVE fried chicken livers.  I grew up eating them, and would eat them still, except they are not really on my diet any more!  I don't eat anything fried. I usually boil the liver and gizzard and heart of our Thanksgiving turkey, and my oldest son thinks it's a treat to get the heart to eat!  I get the liver.

I season and bake my chicken liver with creole seasoning they are almost as good as fried. I did see hearts and gizzard at Walmart in the last 2 weeks.

Oh my no the thought of those makes me queasy LOL but my dear husband loved them in a big way.  My sister and brother in law like them also but I have always been picky - I can't even eat an egg if it isn't extremely well done.

P. S.  well you enjoy if you can find them.  There is a little restaurant in my town that has a sign advertising them as a daily special now and then.

I buy gizzards all the time and fry them in Creole Sauce, or when I was working I would stop at the quickie stores and buy them out of the hot box. All the truck stops had them, unless they just ran out.

Oh My Gosh, just writing this post made my mouth start watering, so I am headed for the freezer and see if I can find a package of them.

I do the livers. I made a point of making myself like them years ago when I was low on iron. I ordered them at a nice restaurant with a big glass of red wine and went to town. Now I love them.

I even like them cold. It's similar to eating pâté. Pretty fancy; huh?  :moneymouth:

My dad and I used to see who could get the gizzard first. We both loved them

We don't have that problem sinc I buy them packaged separately by the pound.

Not a chance. I won't eat the insides of anything.

Then I imagine you are like most people and never experienced the healing properties of Tripe (cows stomach) for an upset stomach or hangover. A staple for the night after is Menudo which is a Mexican stew made with Tripe, Pigs Feet, Hominy, and lots of great spices including Red Chili Powder and at the last minute throw in Oregano, fresh Chopped Onions, and a squeeze of lemon juice.

That's Southern food! I used to eat chitlins (aka chitterlings) as a child but I never was a fan of gizzards or liver. :bad:
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)
