What's for LUNCH?
« on: September 13, 2020, 12:57:44 am »
What do you typically eat for lunch? I've been uninspired lately and can't think of anything good to eat/cook during the afternoons.  ???

I'm going to the grocery store this morning and afterwards I'm eating at Captain D's. Usually during the week I eat sandwiches or soup.

I don't typically have anything as I like to mix it up every time but I guess it would some of kind of sandwich of sorts. Either bought or made.

I love soup and sandwiches. A sandwich with a cold drink when it is hot outside.  :rose:

I just recently began to order from Hello Fresh, the meal subscription service. It comes with very generous portions at an affordable price, so easy to have leftovers for lunch or dinner for the subsequent days.

We're trying to stay away from fast food like hamburgers (which I love) so he bought a pound of ham and swiss cheese and had that for 2 days. Yesterday our friend brought homemade cream chipped beef so we had that and there is enough left for today.  I also have leftover soup from last night and there's a couple slices of bacon from BLT's. I also have canned tuna and Spam.

Lunch is the hardest meal to think of what to have. Seems like even when I'm at the grocery store I can't think of anything to buy for lunch.

I just bought tuna salad kits yesterday (though I won't pretend they're as good as homemade - Haha!). Egg salad sounds delicious, too!  :D  :rose:

We are definitely approaching soup season so I'll look up some recipes (maybe that'll be another topic to start ???). Sandwiches are a great idea - nice and simple! Thank you all!  ;D :highfive:
