Ruth Bader-Ginsburg released a statement today
« on: July 17, 2020, 10:47:29 am »
She was just released from the hospital with antibiotics. Today, she decided to "come clean."  She is receiving chemotherapy for a recurrence of cancer, but has no plans to retire from the Supreme Court.

Her cancer came back in May and she was doing chemo since then. This is the fifth time she's battled cancer. This time it's the liver.  She was treated without surgery for a tumor on her pancreas last year. She also underwent surgery for colorectal cancer in 1999, pancreatic cancer in 2009 and lung cancer in December 2018. Ginsburg said she was disclosing her cancer treatment now because she is satisfied “that my treatment course is now clear.” She said immunotherapy treatments were not successful but the chemo is going well with reducing the liver lesions and she's tolerating chemo very well.

All I can say is more power to her. She's one tough cookie!

She definitely is fighting a good battle - I don't always agree with her but I wish her well and a speedy recovery.

Prayers for RBG.  Please, please hold on.  I think she realizes how important she is and she must fight to stay with us for a long time.  We cannot let Cheetolini pick another supreme court justice.

I pray that she will not suffer too much as she battles this thing.  I am glad that she is not giving up.

She is one great woman.

She definitely is one strong lady, & extremely stubborn for sure.

"This is the fifth time she's battled cancer. This time it's the liver.  She was treated without surgery for a tumor on her pancreas last year. She also underwent surgery for colorectal cancer in 1999, pancreatic cancer in 2009 and lung cancer in December 2018."

It is sounding like her cancer has metastasized -- it's too bad she didn't retire during Obama's administration so he could have nominated another like Justice to the Supreme Court, instead of trying to be the oldest Supreme Court Justice in history... Sort of Selfish.

She has probably been through more than a lot of other people and she has fought through it with dignity class.  You have to admire her.

I don't agree with many of her views but I'm always sorry to hear anybody battling cancer like that especially time after time.

She has gone through hexx and back.  She is one tough lady to be able to fight this as many times as she has and with her advanced age.  More power to her, hope you beat this too.

I feel for Ms. Ginsburg and wish her well on her recovery.  I do think she should step down now! so that a replacement can be made this year.  I fear what will happen if the socialists gain power at this election.  We will pay for a long long long time.

Please research and learn what socialism really is, its history, and the benefits.  For example, did you know the earliest program occurred after the Civil War with pensions to Civil War vets and their families in some cases?

Some of the categories impacted have been around for years and involve healthcare and medical provisions, food assistance, housing subsidies, energy and utility subsidies, childcare assistance, and certain pensions for eligible persons.

Specific programs include SNAP, Medicaid, and State Children's Health Insurance programs. Have any idea how many people are receiving food assistance during covid and how many people have lost their healthcare?

All in all, socialistic philosophy is about funneling some tax dollars toward those people or areas which need them. We are all lucky if we have never been homeless and have enough food in our refrigerator. It is NOT necessarily about lazy people as some would have you believe.
