I had to throw the first loaf away. I finally did figure out what went wrong. I made a second loaf (white bread) and it turned out pretty good.  I want some fancy bread recipes. Not had a lot of time to look. Most recipes I am finding do not tell the size of the loaf. I have to input the weight on the machine before starting the process.

What brand did you get?  I'm really interested in getting one but there are way too many to choose from.  I want one that able to make different kinds

Bread machine? It is a Pohl Schmitt.  I really like it.  This has 17 settings.  It sounds intimidating and reading the book sounds intimidating. But when you start using it then it really is not.  The reason I had to throw the first loaf away was my fault. I messed up the recipe. I did not put enough water in it.  I made a cinnamon raisin bread and it was awesome.  I found a recipe on Pinterest that is an herb and chives. I have fresh chives in my garden so I am wanting to make that next. The plain white bread was okay but it is just that - plain white bread. Nothing exciting. haha

Once you add your ingredients and start machine you do not have to do anything until it beeps telling you to take the pan out of the machine.

I love making bread during the holidays twice a year. The hard way with my hands . Its a process but its worth it in the end

lol I make this with my hands. I just mix and bake in one machine instead of mixing and putting dough in oven. If you make sour dough bread you still have to do all the extra stuff.  I do not think I will make any of that. Too much work.

I don't do baking when it comes to bread.  I have said to myself that one day I will give it a try but not now.

I wish I had that talent; love the taste of  homemade bread but have to wait for friends or family members to bake.

You do not need talent. Buy a bread machine. Follow a recipe. lol It does all the work.

Personally, I have never made bread at home. However, my grandmother used to on several occasions when I was younger. She made very delicious bread. Ugh. Now, I have the urge and call and ask her to make some for me, LOL.
