Dining out
« on: June 13, 2020, 07:40:20 am »
My husband and I went out to a restaurant for dinner last night. It was a beautiful day, so we sat on the patio. It was wonderful to feel somewhat normal again. They messed up my order, but I didn't even care. We might go out again tonight.

Anybody else dining out yet?

I am not really scared of this "virus". I would be more worried about random violence. We have not really ate out that much in about a year and a half anyway.

For the most part we are still picking up our food and bringing it home to eat.

We are still ordering and picking up our food.  It has gotten to a place where I am enjoying that as oppose to sitting in the restaurant.

No, I'm not dining out yet, just not 100% comfortable with that idea yet.  I'm still enjoying ordering online and picking up curbside.

No I'm not sitting in any restaurants with any people until next year.  I hardly ever went anyway even before this year.  I might get fast food occasionally but going to sit down restaurants were rare and it's going to be even rarer for me going forward.

That sure sounds like such a nice evening. If I had someone to do something like that with, I would not even think twice. I hope your outing was spectacular. :)

No -- we haven't been dining out at all, not even ordering & picking it up or having it delivered. However, we are planning to begin ordering out this week & starting with Dominos... a local one close to the house to start giving our neighborhood businesses some business :)

Have not dined out yet, a friend went a few days ago and said it was just a very awkward feeling with all of the safety measures that she felt like she would wait a while before trying again. Maybe when it did not feel so awkward for the patrons and staff alike.

Hmm. I don't know what would be awkward about it. When we went out, it was like a normal pre-covid dinner out, other than the employees wearing masks and gloves.

No, we haven’t ate out yet.  There is no inside dining yet, all outside.  I’m not a big fan of outside dining.  We are waiting until the restaurants open for inside dining.

No I have not been to a sit down restaurant since they have opened back up.  Not because I don't think it is safe, but because I just haven't had time.
