Storm damage

We had some significant storm damage in Sandusky, Ohio this evening. A large portion of our local historical theater was destroyed about two hours ago. They were reports of a funnel cloud, but I am not convinced that it was an actual tornado or just straight line winds. But an entire section of the roof caved in and much debris on the adjacent streets. Also many trees and power lines down and a laundromat across town caught on fire when live electric wires from a downed pole ignited the building.


We've gone to many concerts and shows at this location over the years. Such a heartbreaking loss for the community.

We were suppose to get storms but it did not do anything but rain.  I got an alert from the Weather channel about power being out across 3 states.

So sorry to hear - was watching the Weather channel before I went to bed and saw Ohio and several other states were really having horrific weather. The pictures they were showing were indeed scary.   I have been holding my breath where I live due to daily thunderstorms and threats of tornadoes.  Again so sorry to hear of your town's losses.

We got some pretty high winds where I live, but mostly just fallen tree branches, nothing as bad as that! I heard it was bad in some places in Michigan and Ohio

sorry about that damage.  Storms were intense this weekend and the wind just finally calmed down last night.   Tore up my plants I had to put a small appletree back in the ground.  A lot of tree damage.

Wow, that's some serious damage.  I'm sorry about the loss of the theater.  Hopefully it can be rebuilt. 

The weather has really gotten wild especially of late.  A few days ago my husband and I were going about our routine for the day and all of a sudden we get a severe weather report on our phone app.

The report said that we should seek shelter in a safe room indoors immediately.  Then just today, I went outside to get our mail and by the time I got back into our home office, the clouds opened up and buckets of rain came pouring down, along with lightning, thunder and strong wind gusts.

Never a dull moment.

Thankfully not. A few very close calls out on the street with some of the vehicles parked in the vicinity. Some heavy property damage with a few cars that were totaled, but no injuries. There would have been significant injuries and death had there been an event going on inside at the time this happened.
