Has anyone ever played HQ Trivia? It's an app that you download where you can participate in a daily, live 12 question trivia game at 9PM EST. If you win, you get a share of the jackpot. So far, I've won over $23!

I used to play a long time ago, when it first came out, my entire family would play... no one ever won though. HQ disappeared for a while due to lack of funding & the founder, the guy who started Vine, committed suicide.  I heard they started up again, but haven't downloaded the app again.  I enjoyed it the first time, they used to have various celebrities host, like the Rock -- who was pushing one of his movies that was coming out.

Like aflyingmonkey, I used to play it; but it turned into a waste of time for me. I decided I would rather spend my time on apps where I slowly but surely earn/win cash. I never won anything with HQ.

Never heard of it, but it sounds kind of fun.  I think I will look into it.

Didn't realize they brought the App back. It was fun at first, but it got old for me pretty fast.

Yes, they stopped operating around Valentine's Day and brought it back in late April after finding a new buyer. They still haven't started adding celebrity hosts again, though. That was a fun aspect.

That's understandable. A group of us would gather in the work kitchen to play to wind down the day, but even working together it was hard to win.

How long did it take you to win that much and can you look up the answers online?

Good question! Looking back in the app, I won my first 2 games on Sept. 13, 2018 ($1.65) and Oct. 1, 2018 ($4.62). Since then they've added other games (like the fill in the blank format HQ Words and HQ Sports) and I've had other wins as small as 10 cent since they lowered the nightly jackpot.

My friends and I have tried looking up questions online, but it's difficult to do seeing as you only have 10 seconds to answer. I recently found out once they restarted the app that you have 90 days to cashout so I'll never get the first $16 I won. I'll say that it's been a fun way to pass the time while working from home.

That is so great! I tried to play that. I knew a lot of the answers, but my old fingers were too slow in pushing the right button to answer, LOL! All the young whippersnappers would push the button before I could, including my 23-year-old son! Oh, well, them's the breaks I guess. Good luck to you!

I recommend it if you have about 10 minutes to spare when the games are live. Even if you don't win, it's a good little distraction.
