Of course all lives matter but I can see how that can be an insensitive response at a time that's particularly volatile because people are feeling hurt and unheard. That said, I never thought I'd live in a time where people can actually get fired/threatened/hurt for suggesting that everyone's life matters. That is where it gets ridiculous.

This is why you must do research. You can easily Google this if you still don't understand after all these years. Black lives matter means black lives matter, too. By saying black lives matter they are not saying that all lives henceforth don't matter.

Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

Hi! :D :)

Yes all lives matter of course. Black lives always matter. It just that life is unfair and racism still lives unfortunately. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

https://www.nbcnews.com/pop-culture/celebrity/stop-making-everything-about-you-billie-eilish-denounces-all-lives-n1221216
Quote
Singer Billie Eilish denounced the "All Lives Matter" cause Saturday in a statement posted to Instagram in response to the death of George Floyd.

Eilish, 18, wrote that she spent the past week trying to figure out a way to "address this delicately," referring to proponents of the "All Lives Matter" world view. Eilish, who has more than 63 million Instagram followers, said that she strives to use her "enormous" platform to be respectful and to carefully think through what she says and how she says it.

She then said that if she hears one more white person say, "All lives matter," she would lose her "f------ mind."

"No one is saying your life doesn't matter," Eilish wrote. "No one is saying your life is not hard. No one is saying literally anything about you.

"This is not about you," she continued. "Stop making everything about you. You are not in need. You are not in danger."

Eilish, whose full name is Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell, said she would explain it as she would to a child.

"If your friend gets a cut on their arm are you gonna wait to give all your friends" a Band-Aid first "because all arms matter?" she asked. "No," she said, adding that you would help your friend who was bleeding because they are in pain and in need.

Eilish provided another example, asking if a person's house was on fire and someone was trapped inside, "are you gonna make the fire department go to every other house on the block first because all houses matter???"

"No," she said, because they don't "f------ need it."

The post was written almost entirely in caps.

You are privileged whether you realize it or not, Eilish wrote.

"Society gives you privilege just for being white," she wrote. "You can be poor, you can be struggling..and still your skin color is giving you more privilege than you even realize and nobody is saying that makes you better than anyone."

This allows white people to live without having to worry about surviving, simply because of their skin color, Eilish wrote.

"If all lives matter," she asked, "why are black people killed for just being black? Why are immigrants persecuted? Why are white people given opportunities that people of other races aren't?"

Eilish questioned why white people can protest stay-at-home orders while carrying semi-automatic weapons, as some have at the State Capitol in Lansing, Michigan, and why black people are labeled "thugs" for protesting "the murder of innocent people."

Eilish said that white privilege affects other minority groups and that in this moment "we have to address hundreds of years of oppression of black people."

"The slogan 'Black Lives Matter' does not mean other lives don't," Eilish wrote. It is "calling attention to the fact that society clearly thinks black lives don't f------ matter."

In my head its like Wow....So what should I be doing then if what I do ends up getting hate for it ? Anyways... Its true though All lives matter no matter what it is.

Thank you for asking this question in a respectful manner.  As a member of the African American community may I offer my perspective?  The BLM movement is intended to pay homage to the victims (and their families) fallen slain to hate crimes.  The reason the Black is there and not all is because of the longevity of the voidance of value placed on Black's plights, often time deflected through means of blame and diminishment of occurence.  I hope this helps  :rainbow:

You are correct; ALL lives matter, even the homeless people panhandling on the side of the street.  That is still someone's son that some woman literally labored to get here.  EVERYONE has a story and I pray that all people, regardless of creed, get the chance to experience justice and true joy in this life.

I guess for the same reason a black person would get mad if they seen a "white lives matter" sign in a yard.   And you can say oh that would not happen but it has happened. People are full of hate.  We all see it every day.  They have for any and every reason.  And it goes in every direction. I don't like the world we are living in.  And it seems things totally changed over night. :(

This is just an excuse go loot and riot  and destroy people's lives.  We are all human beings and everyone matters.  I am so sick of this bull every few months.  Every protestor should be in jail.  It should be a felony too.

Turns out that white guy is a "pro" at aggravating police. He goes to all the protests he can get to and then pulls stunts like this. This time, though, it kind of backfired because he got hurt.

The looting and rioting makes the real protests look bad. Funny they didn't wise up sooner and realize those rioters were professional agitators from other states. The rocks, bricks, other tools for breaking into stores, lighter fluid, fireworks, and other damaging items were found in these out of state cars. Mayors and governors didn't allow the police to do the job they should have done which would've stopped the agitators on day one. That's sad. What's even worse is that destroyed mom and pop businesses that they worked hard over the years to have and were destroyed in one night. Now those who live in those neighborhoods have no place to do their shopping. Like the one woman said, she had no place to shop anymore as she didn't drive. No way to get out of the neighborhood to shop other places. "Who cares," say the rioters. They get paid to do it and it's fun.
