Thunderstorm
« on: May 16, 2020, 01:02:59 pm »
Last night thunderstorm knocked out the power in my little corner of MA.  It was out for 18 hours  :o  It just came on a little while ago and I'm glad it's back. :)

We had a pretty good storm last night! Today has been raining on and off.

It seems like it has been a really long time since there has been a thunderstorm right where I live.  Most seem to go around us.

We have been lucky too, haven't had a thunderstorm in a long time.  I hate them!

I'm glad your power is back on! That's the one downside to thunderstorms which I otherwise love.

Thunderstorms are the only fun we're allowed to have anymore.  :confused1: Can't do anything else.

I remember as a teenager in Illinois the power going out every once in a while. It mostly didn't interrupt what I was doing, since I was usually reading or outside with my brothers and sisters. When the power came back on, it was like, "Oh, cool." Nowadays, when the power goes off in my home, both of my sons (young men) go into withdrawal since almost everything they do is electronic. I just pick up my crocheting and get to work, LOL!  :peace:

We are suppose to get some severe storms later today. I don't believe them though.

And that is why when you have storms predicted you make sure things are charged. OR have a couple of those power banks and make sure they are charged up. The last couple of times our power has went off it has taken a while for it to get back on. But it is also hard for them to work on it when lightening is striking all around them.
