This is not the only state requiring people to stay in.  We are not having church because we want to obey the recommendations of the leaders.  I have no problem staying home and I think someone that has the virus or passed from it would agree.

I doubt people who died from it care one way or the other if people stay home.  And the ones who have it probably don't care either.  If people who were sick stayed home (with any illness) then it would not get passed around.  Same with the flu.  We had a woman come to church back in the winter and she came in and said "I can't hug anybody I got the flu".  I was like WHY ARE YOU HERE?

It does not matter if you stay at home or not if the stuff they say is true about it can live on your mail and your packages.  One of the local people who did have it claims she got it through the mail.  So staying home does not necessarily mean you won't get it.

So wear your mask, wash your hands, and you will be fine.

It is just strange - every state seems to be doing something different and then they keep changing their mind. Sounds like I will be working from home for the forseeable future and feel lucky to do so

If you have the ability to work from home then yes you are very lucky.  Most people can not do that.  Every state is doing something different because every state IS different.  They are effected differently.  And each governor can make their own decisions about what is best for their state.  My area doesn't have that many cases.  I think we have 1 or 2 active cases at the moment.  And for the most part people have been every where the whole time.  Which punches a big hole in the "we will all get it and die if people don't stay home" theory.

It is not about "we will all get it."  It is about a highly contagious disease with neither a preventative nor an effective treatment.  It is about cases have risen from about 15, when the president claimed it will be over soon, to over 66,000 deaths in about 4 months.  It is about people who are elderly and having co-morbid conditions being particularly susceptible, but obviously anyone can get it and be very, very sick or die no matter the age, gender, political persuasion, or whatever.  What it is about is a second wave coming which will make us start this process all over.  This is why states most be opened thoughtfully and with careful consideration of data and testing as well as contact tracing and quarantine of those who test positive. And finally, it is about respecting our fellow citizens and healthcare workers and what they have sacrificed.

Proud of your governor and also my governor of Illinois.  When the deaths sky rocket in other states than they realized that our states did something right and following the guidelines set by the president even though he is letting states open without reaching the guideline he set.

Here in California, we haven't had any serious outbreaks, no medical community has been overwhelmed -- people are outside all the time, tennis courts are filled, people are golfing.  Gardeners are still gardening, they wear masks. People can mow their own lawns. There have been protests with thousands of people bunched together -- no outbreaks.

No mass outbreaks in any of the 10s of thousands of homeless communities -50,000 in Los Angeles alone, none are social distancing, all packed together... nothing.

Seems to be a problem in Long Care nursing homes & if you're over 60 with underlying health issues - at least that is what is being reported.  Where are outbreaks in your state coming from?  People being inside confined spaces probably.

Our governor, Gavin Newsom, stated it would be okay for schools to open up next week.  Governor Newsom would make a great candidate for President, he's very progressive like Bernie Sanders.

She wants handouts.  FROM THE PEOPLE WHO WORK. lol  People do not understand that the "freebies" are not free. SOMEBODY paid for them.
