The lockdowns may end May 15 but social distancing won't end then.  Until there is an antibody or vaccine, there will still be the threat of another outbreak.
Have a wonderful day!

I think we would all be open by the end of May, but social distancing and wearing masks is going to be our new normal until there is testing for everyone and a vaccine.  I leave in Virginia and work in DC, a contract for the government, and even thou the President wants to open the Major of DC is not playing around she has everything luck down.  And DC's cases are going up be the hour, the same in Virginia and Maryland is even worse.

So social distancing and masks will be around for a while,

A vaccine could take 18 months so it's hard to say that we have to wait for a vaccine before we unlock everyone...I think there can be gradual adjustments but it will take time...the virus is still "around"

Social distancing isn't going away. If we follow history, we'll see that this virus won't go away anytime soon. The Spanish flu happened in three waves with the second being the most catastrophic.

I think most places will be opening up by May....People aren't gonna take these living conditions for long.

If you're elderly or at risk, stay in. Otherwise, it should be back to business as usual.

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

Hello! :) :D

I hear the new last day of social distancing is set for May 15, have you heard that too? I certainly hope so I miss having my daily walks outside. Nonetheless even if we are able to go back to school and work how long until we get back to our normal fully? For me I still will have to be careful as I get sick easily. What are your honest thouths about the world wide isolation do you think the Government is over reacting and we all need to go back to work? I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

You are not allowed to walk outside? You must be in a state that is a lot stricter than mine. We can basically go any where that is open.  It is suppose to be only essentials that are open but more than that it.  I don't know what to think.  YES we need to get back to work.  But all the people drawing unemployment are making more sitting at home than when they worked with the extra $600 a week so why would they want to work?  Most are making way more money not working.

Things are going to have to open back up.  People are going to lose everything they have. Smaller businesses and even bigger ones are not going to open. They are just closed. :(

This is here to stay.  They already said it will be back in the fall and every year and a new strain like the flu.  Then they say it won't leave before the fall.  SO you can hole up in your home til we all die or we can get out and live life.  I don't think things will ever be like they use to. People are always going to be all stay out of my space, don't breathe near me, and if you cough in public you have to have this virus.  smh

Hiya! :) :D

What I mean is we are a allowed to go out for essential things and like Parks. However the order is Stay home as much as possible. As I'm in New York the hot spot for the virus. Ya I guess every state have there own special dates. We shall see ya. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

New York is def stricter than where I am.  My individual county most people, from what I hear, are flat out ignoring the stay at home thing. It is more of a suggestion that anything in my state. But there are so many "essential" things you can still pretty much go out any time you want to.  Someone some where else had actually said they were not allowed to be outside of their homes. Not sure I believe that.  One guy said he was not even allowed to be outside and mow his yard.

I really think the government should make a vaccine or cure available FIRST and then talk about getting things going again. Just because we've been hiding away, doesn't mean the virus has given up and is no longer a threat! Would you go swimming again if a killer shark was on the loose and it hadn't been caught yet? Yup, looks okay everybody, back in the water! yeah, I didn't think so. We need a virus cure, not silly talk.

A vaccine?  We don't even have a vaccine for the flu... we don't have a vaccine for AIDS... we don't have a vaccine for SARS & yet we still manage to go out & live life & deal with it.   A vaccine or "cure" needs to be tested for at least a year to see if there are side effects including death... you can't really think people are going to stay inside for over a year?

If you're high risk or are scared, just continue to stay inside & social distance.

Yes they do.  What do you think the "flu shot" all these idiots flock to is?  It is a vaccine.

Aids should not even be linked in with these.  You don't get Aids by breathing next to someone who has it.  I agree we can't all stay inside for the next year.  People have got to work.  Well some of us any way.  I honestly think it is just fear mongering and it has worked.  You still can't get anything at our local Walmart.  And I heard last night (confirmed by a manager who works there) that half the store has taken a leave of absence. So now they do not even have enough people to run the store.

Fear mongering?  You have got to be kidding!  This virus is highly contagious and there is no identified, targeted, effective treatment nor a vaccine.  People who are both healthy and with underlying conditions have died from it.  One person is supposed to be able to infect another 9 or 10 so it is an exponential infection rate which can take off easily.  It is much more infectious than ebola, for example.  It is seriously infecting prisons and nursing homes and the homeless and disabled population.  It's no joke and certainly not about "fear mongering." It is something to be taken seriously. As of today, 4/19, it has been 50 days since the first case in the U.S. and we now have 39,000 plus deaths.

lol So we can see the "fear mongering" def has a grip on you.  Look how many people the flu kills every year.  The flu is also highly contagious.  I never said this was not something to be taken seriously. But the media is making things a lot worse than it is.  They are also LYING is you.  But continue to suck it all in and stay hid in your home.  Everyone can't do that.  Some of us have to work.

The flu "vaccine" is a joke. The flu shot gives modest protection on what the scientists think will be the strain of the flu that will be going around that season, it constantly mutates & is just a best guess, guessing game vaccine    It's not a permanent solution & people still die in large amounts due to the flu every year... best results are people who get the flu shot return to work 1/2 day sooner than those who don't get the shot. Personally, the Flu shot makes me sick.

Hopefully Covid-19 will mutate to harmlessness when the weather gets hotter, supposedly that is what happened with SARS

Almost everyone I know who got the flu shot last year also got the flu later. And even more get sick right after they take the shot. Then are foolish enough to believe oh well you had already been exposed to the flu. No, the shot made you sick.

They are saying this is going to come back in the fall and at the same time saying it won't leave til the end of the summer.  Are people so foolish that they believe we can all stay locked in our homes from now on?

See I do not get this "testing for everyone".  Nobody is shoving a q-tip 7 inches up my nose!  I am not sick and I do not need this test.  Neither do they need to test everyone in the country.  And I would not trust the results anyway.  A plant a couple counties over from me had like ONE person in the facility to have the virus. So rumor has it they have tested every person in the plant.  Just does not make sense.  You can be a "carrier" for the flu as well and not be sick.  I have even read people who get the vaccine then develop mild symptoms (of course from the shot) can pass the flu blown flu on to some one else.  People need to wake up and see what is happening in front of their eyes.

Use common sense  if you're sick stay at home   if you're old like me 82 stay home   if you have to go out be cautious and follow the rules and wait it out

Sorry to sound negative but not for me it won't be.  I have been reading about a second wave of the virus close (winter) and predicted to be worse.

This is exactly what I have heard because it coincides with the flu season.

Read that Ohio never had a social distancing order. There cases have gone up 400 percent is a short amount of time.
