Papaya
« on: April 07, 2020, 07:02:45 am »
I am not sure that I like papaya.  I mean I don't dislike it.   I was trying to think what I could make with it.  I seen dressing from the seeds.  That has many ingredients that I don't have on  hand right now.  I thought about using the fruit in a dish like fried pork steak.  I don't think it would hold up to good being fried.  I will probably blend it up and make a smoothy out of it.  What do you think?  Do you like papaya?

I have never had papaya before and have no idea what it tastes like. I have never even seen it in a store so I don't know what it looks like either. Let us know if you do find a good way to prepare and eat it!

I don't think I've ever tried fresh papaya. I don't mind candied papaya that you can find in trail mix, though.

I'm not a big fan of papaya or mango, probably because it wasn't a staple when I was a kid back in the old days, LOL! Same thing with my husband. But our kids really like papaya, probably because it was a fruit regularly served at school and such. I guess their papaya is like my strawberry. I'm thinking, though, that it might could be a good fruit to use with meats to give it a kind of tropical taste. Good luck!  :clover: :peace:
