Thumbs up to ALL sewers who have made masks and donated them to their local health agencies, hospitals, etc.

I first made masks for each person in my family.

NOW, I am working on masks for the hospital.

Could you find another term for people who sew besides "sewers"? You get my drift? No offense, jkhanson, but that one caught me off guard; your thanking sewers which sounds more like a plumbing issue..  :-[

The kid mask looks cute & it helps with breathing without blowing fog to blind the person wearing.

Ill be honest this looks sketchy and creepy. I'd rather have an animal smile mask you can get on themountain than have one of these or have to look at one of these. Makes me wanna cringe

Well Telwut has an interesting survey on a topic I posted in April, Read my Thread from the beginning and see the pictures I posted about these masks!!

So very applicable! Thanks for reading!

😷Wearing a mask has become part of everyday life, but for those who are deaf, or hearing impaired, not being able to read other peoples' lips has made the pandemic feel even more isolating. To solve the problem, some mask-makers have started selling masks with transparent windows in hopes of allowing anyone with hearing impairments to carry on a conversation. Several on-line as well as through retail outlets have seen an increase in sales for these masks, and many feel they should be used within schools and with day care workers, for more effective communication. Do you feel these masks should be marketed more and made available in schools and day cares as "essential" supplies?

Marketed more as an option to regular face masks

Made available in schools and day cares as "essential" supplies

Both above options

Not sure

Neither

Disagree with masks altogether

I read about them earlier in the pandemic, I think a teacher invented them so her hearing impaired students could read her lips. It is also good you get to see someone's smile too.

Here's yet another "I can see you Smile"  mask

Meet the OricShield™

https://world-journal-online.com/oricshield-2/?utm_source=taboola&utm_medium=referral&tblci=GiCaYeB7yxaHaKwgRWkGA_TE1q-GpX7f5428CGQSU_HYwSCX-1A#tblciGiCaYeB7yxaHaKwgRWkGA_TE1q-GpX7f5428CGQSU_HYwSCX-1A

The Japanese company behind the OricShield™ are experts in health tech. Their engineers combined forces with some of the top virologists in the world to develop the OricShield™.

In my opinion this is the next generation of masks.

This mask fits very well and even if it slips you can adjust it like glasses without touching your nose or mouth.

“One of the main ways Covid-19 is transmitted is through smear infections. Covid-19 can survive up to four days on most surfaces. If you touch your face after you touched a infected surface the probability of infection is quite high.”-WebMD.com

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

If you look at the features and production quality of the OricShield™ it wouldn’t be surprising to see a price tag of up to $70. Which would still be lower than most of its competitors.

That’s why we were stunned to learn the company sells this Shield for just $29.90 (thanks to a 50% promo ending soon).

I have a hearing problem and the regular masks don't fit well over the hearing aids and glasses further complicate the situation plus voices are muffled so best to just stay at home

Smile masks?  The first time I saw someone with one, it really creeped me out.  That's a NO for smile masks.

Masks are ineffective.  There are many studies that prove it.  They cause bacterial pneumonia and other diseases.  Enjoy wearing them but, not me.
