In most States price gouging is illegal and can meet with stiff fines and even jail time if caught along with confiscation of goods in Oregon. Check Google for the laws in your local area and don't hesitate to report infractions.

I posted in another thread where our local grocery store is selling 6 pack bottle of water for $9. It is usually $1.99  And had a pimento cheese, the med size container for $8.  I did not buy either.  I did get some things because we needed them.  And I am sure I paid more than normal for them.  I paid $4 for a loaf of bread.  There was a sign on the shelf that said they can't get any more of it from the manufacturer.  I only got the bread because my mom wanted it.  I did not know how to report it.  I have a picture of the sign for the water with the price.  It is ridiculous.

I may look at the attorney general for my state.

I'm afraid when I shop, I get  what I usually get and need and don't often look at prices.  It's too bad people are so stingy and unhonest to take advantage of our problems.

The last couple times I went to Wegmans, they didn't have any of their sales or deals they always have. It also looked like a few things went up in price too.

It has nothing to do with being stingy. smh  It is coming down to supply and demand.  When I went to the grocery store yest morning I got what I needed and did not pay too close attention to prices. I did some though.
I was not going to get the over priced jacked up water but did notice the sign and took a pic because I thought how can you sell a 6 pack bottle of water for $9?
