I saw that on Martha MacCallum's show -- The Story -- and was shocked that this news worked its way through the pandemic coronavirus headlines.  I don't know that it's a big deal, one way or the other, unless you're a diehard Brady fan (as Patriot fans are), but if he's got that competitive desire to continue his career burning inside of him, then he should go for it.  He's really got nothing left to prove.  :snowman: = football player with helmet on

I was just about to start a new topic on this point, but decided to check and see if one was created yet. In this SEA of corona posts, here it is!

While I grudgingly will admit that Brady is the GOAT, I still can't see how he alone makes the Bucs a bigger Superbowl favorite than his old team/coach.  Bucs at 14-1 vs. Pats at 30-1? (These are the most recent odds I found at the moment). I agree that he makes the Bucs better than Jameis Winston, but that's a bigger swing than I would give.

This will be an adjustment getting used to seeing Brady and Rivers in new uni's. Thank you NFL for giving us something else to talk about. I hope you are able to start up as close to "on schedule" as possible. I wonder how the draft will go. On time as scheduled, but without all the fans and top prospects on site?

I was hoping to go to HOF game and inductions this year in August - Steelers/Cowboys with Troy Polamalu, Bill Cowher, and Donnie Shell being inducted. But who knows even about that and whether it will be safe to play?

The trend with QBs now in the NFL...they need to be bigger, faster, can run and throw, stronger.

Winston threw 30 TD passes last yr.His problem he turns the ball over too much.

The difference between him and Brady isnt much.My prediction is Tampa goes nowhere and Tom retires like he should cos he does not wanna be a back-up.

Brady leaves the Pats-Vultures gather. :D

Seriously, I wish him the best. I doubt he fares much better next season with Tampa Bay -at least as they looked last season. But, I imagine if he does hang in there and play until he's 45, he's probably got one more playoff run in him.

I wish it was with the Pats, but one way or another all good things come to an end. I'm sure Bill will plug a capable QB into his system next season. Life will go on for the Pats. :D

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

Well, that's one thing I couldn't care less about:  sports of any kind.  That being said, cancelling all of these events is also killing businesses and the economy.

I think he was looking for a 2-3 year contract so I would doubt he would retire unless he was seriously hurt or just lost all his abilities.

You mean there's other stuff going on the world? Sorry...I had to be the one. LOL

I am trying to keep my family positive and busy during our break from school. We don't have live TV, so any updates we get are on our phones. We are cleaning the house, building our new home, doing outside chores, playing games, and annoying each other as much as possible!

The Browns signed some guys that will hopefully allow them to finally make the playoffs. Not getting my hopes up though.

Personally, I've been surprised by how many people think the Bucs will suddenly become great because of this. Although Brady is better than Winston, I don't think he will make a huge impact on the team performance, especially since he hasn't been playing great lately.
