Covid-19 is a biological weapon
« on: March 15, 2020, 08:26:23 pm »
I'm not one for conspiracy theories but covid-19 did not come from bat soup.  It came from a lab in Wuhan.

Scientists in Wuhan tried to insert HIV in a SARS bat coronavirus

This is from the NIH (National Institute of Health)

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2258702/

Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) is caused by the SARS-associated coronavirus (SARS-CoV), which uses angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) as its receptor for cell entry. A group of SARS-like CoVs (SL-CoVs) has been identified in horseshoe bats. SL-CoVs and SARS-CoVs share identical genome organizations and high sequence identities, with the main exception of the N terminus of the spike protein (S), known to be responsible for receptor binding in CoVs. In this study, we investigated the receptor usage of the SL-CoV S by combining a human immunodeficiency virus-based pseudovirus system with cell lines expressing the ACE2 molecules of human, civet, or horseshoe bat. In addition to full-length S of SL-CoV and SARS-CoV, a series of S chimeras was constructed by inserting different sequences of the SARS-CoV S into the SL-CoV S backbone.

A follow-up study in 2010 that explains their success: Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) proteins of different bat species confer variable susceptibility to SARS-CoV entry

A 2015 Nature.com article about an engineered bat coronavirus in Wuhan and how the scientific community is worried about it getting out:
Engineered bat virus stirs debate over risky research

I have a friend who is a scientist I sent this to her and this is her response.
Quote
I think this virus may have been created in Wuhan, there is a virology center, max level of safety hazard in the country, few yards from the market.

Few weeks ago,(10 days ago maybe) chair and researchers of Yale and Harvard universities were arrested for collaboration and financing a laboratory in China, possibly Wuhan, to create and work on a virus. You can find the news, google them.

This virus is unusual in nature: People who get sick and heal apparently can catch the virus again; people who recover apparently can still transmit the virus for 37 days after they re recovered,
People that catch the virus are contagious before showing any symptoms.

They found HIV virus sequences in the Coronavirus.. weird.. and drugs designed to treat HIV apparently can treat Covid-19..

This is interesting information.  I watched Life, Liberty & Levin this evening.  Mark's guest was the director for Chinese strategy at The Hudson Institute (Michael Pillsbury) who stated that the Chinese do not want to take responsibility for the coronavirus, in particular, that the virus came from a bat and then jumped into another animal and then found its way into the human population.  While the Chinese presented this as a theory, they persecuted the first 8 doctors who became whistle blowers, subsequently, they were jailed, denied right to speak and one of them died from the virus.

Pillsbury went on to reveal that the Chinese will not permit American health scientists to travel to Wuhan (the site of the open markets) to make studies.  As a consequence, a fear has grown that the Chinese know more about this virus and how it was created/spread than they have told the U.S.  They won't allow visits to their open markets of wildlife animals and stated that these markets are no longer open.

Yes, this is scary if this is actually 'biological warfare' we are talking about.  It might explain some of the hysteria going on out there right now -- hoarding, irrational behaviors, clearing out shelves of goods, imposed social distancing with more to come.

Many of us remember a time when anthrax, a gram-positive, rod-shaped bacteria known as Bacillus anthracis, was first in the news.  It is found in the soil and affects domestic and wild animals once they ingest the spores in grazing areas found to be contaminated with it.  However, anthrax was not found to be contagious to humans like a cold or flu; rather, only when a human comes into contact with the spores in an open cut or wound or inhale them.

It was actually initially described during the 1700s, but by the 1870s scientist Robert Koch's experiments with the bacteria lead to the discovery of how to produce large quantities of specific germs.

I'm not up on my reading at the moment, but some of this has been fictionalized in books and movies that fuels the public's imagination.  Perhaps, readers of this topic could expand on this notion.

I am a total conspiracy theorist so I believe your hypothesis is entirely plausible. Thank you dreamyxo for your thoughts (including articles in defense of your belief) and not being afraid to share them.

If this is true, than they have a treatment and/or vaccine available to themselves, yes?

here's a note for us to ponder, why this isn't being discussed:

Regeneron likely to make coronavirus treatments available ...

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc is ramping up efforts to develop a set of coronavirus treatments, which could be available for testing or use in some patients within a few months, the drugmaker said ...

I'm by no means a conspiracy theorist but I did entertain this idea that this virus was intended to be used as a biological weapon...

I saw a story on the news about a week ago, the maker of a drug that could very well take out this virus, developed it years ago, but no one would fund it, so it didn't go anywhere. I just ever so much hope a life saving treatment and vaccine are both forth coming and soon! I don't believe the whole conspiracy theory, who could be so careless, heartless, and cruel to do such a thing purposely? If it was intentional, I can't believe they realized just how dangerous it was.

If you entertained the thought, then you are a theorist. A biological weapon can be part of a conspiracy. Therefore, you are a conspiracy theorist. stevensm4 is a potential conspiracy theorist. Welcome to the club.

Wear your badge proudly. I feel no need to be ashamed and neither should you.  :highfive:

Oh,just what mankind needs, another weapon to help destroy life and the planet that a God of love created to be our home.

Take heart...it will never get that far.We are promised God will ruin those ruining the earth and that HE created the earth for it to be inhabited where righteouness is to dwell forever. As said in the Lords prayers,"Let your kingdom come on earth".

Puzzling how so many think they will go to heaven when they die and yet support mans idea.

Just a reminder what Jesus said to Pilate that his kingdom is NO part of this world and those that use the sword will DIE by it.

BTW,April 7th is Passover.A command Jesus gave to his followers to support the night over 2000 yrs when he was executed. There has been no official announcment yet of celebrating the Lords evening meal yet with all the virus stuff going on.I know the bible studies and meetings have been cancelled so it looks as tho this may too.

We will just have to remember Jesus words on 4/7 and thank him and his father for what they did for obedient mankind.

Keep doing this in rememberance of me he told the 11 apostles after he dismissed Judas on the Passover supper.

I think it came from the lab, but not sure if it was a weapon. These places do testing on all sorts of things.

I don't know about the theory, but China did say they were going to surprise us with a present (words to that effect) for the new tariffs put on them plus trying to bring our companies back to our country.
