Just read that Tom Hanks and his wife have tested positive.  They are in Australia because he’s doing a movie down there.

Oh my, that's horrible.  I hope that they will be all right.  My husband and I have just found out that 2 of our dear friends from our Kingdom Hall Congregation may not be able to come home from their European trip. 

If they are able to get home before the suspension begins on Friday, they will still have to be on a 14 day quarantine.  This certainly appears to be the pestilence spoken of in the Bible that we would be experiencing today.

A good friend of mine from NC told me they clean the kingdom hall from soup to nuts at every meeting.

This virus seems a bit on the rampage.You can do your best to be preventive but time and unforseen occurrence befall us all.

Yes, it's certainly true about time and unforeseen occurrence.  All we can do is rely on Jehovah, which we should be doing anyway and do our part the best we can.

We, too, are doing a thorough cleaning at the hall with disinfectant before and after every meeting.  Since we have 2 Congregations meeting at our hall, that's six times that all hard surfaces are cleaned.

Heard an NBA player also tested positive; all we can do is follow the CDC's guidelines as best we can to keep ourselves safe; everyone try and stay well. I think our government waited a little to  late to  put a plan in place and at best the information being put out was not consistent.

I read that earlier today.  Goes to show the rich & famous are just as vulnerable to disease as us little people.  I'm sure they will get better care than we would because of their money and status.

I MAY be wrong, so don't quote me as Gospel truth here, but I thought I heard that the travel ban from Europe would not include US citizens trying to return home.


Just like the virus, mis-information spreads like mad - so I was unable to verify this and here I am spouting it out on an Internet forum! Looks like I am part of the problem and should maybe put myself on a self-imposed posting quarantine!

The ban does not even start until Friday so they have a couple of days.  But they have to be quarantined over there for 14 days.  Which is foolish if you think of it because the ones taking care of them can expose them to it the last day of the quarantine.

There is NO treatment.  That is part of the problem.  There is nothing they can do.  You get better or you don't.  If you are in hospital you are given oxygen. But there is not any medicine to give you.  This is something completely new.

Not really... for example, they are out of icu beds & supplies & health care workers in Italy & are no longer triaging patients over age 60 & at high risk -- because they are using their resources/respirators for people who have a greater chance of surviving the virus, which are those younger than 60.   

As far as I am aware anyone of any age & those of high risk are still being treated in the USA for the virus.
