My first job after college was working part time  at a community center planning program activities for youth while I attended graduate school full time; after graduate school it was working as a Social Worker with children in the foster care system.

My very first job was a summer job when I was 14.  I worked for the Chicago Park district just keeping the park and shelter house clean and handing out equipment.  Was easy work and got to hang with my friends because we always there anyway.

When I was 8 years old, I worked in a family pizza place. I was a dishwasher for $2.00 an hour cash back in the day.  it was great because I got to eat free pizza too and the taste of new york pizza in the 70s was the best. it still is to this day

My first job was at a small, local home improvement company.  It was the summer of 1966!  I earned $1.35 per hour.  Mostly, I typed their inventory on an old manual typewriter.  Boy, was that a boring, repetitive, frustrating job !!
