Do you tip?  Do the both of you tip?  Or does the person who pays tip?

I give the tip if the other person pay the meals. But if that other person is a relative and knows that you are poor you may as well let them (grandparents always invite me eating out they always pay the meal and the tip)

if someone is paying for me, i like to atleast offer to get
the tip (if i have any ones or a five). although, when i'm
paying, i don't expect the other person to get the tip
but will let them if they insist.

If someone pays for the meal I always leave the tip. I think it's a nice way to show your appreciation for the free meal. Even if they leave a tip, I still add mine to it. If I pay I leave the tip.

For me my husband always pay the tip and if someone invite us and pay the bill my husband insists to pay the tip

I always leave a tip if someone pays for the meal, which isn't very often. When I go out with friends it's usually always dutch treat.

I was just in this situation.  Went out to dinner with a friend, she payed, so I tipped.  It's only polite.
