Redecorating my apartment
« on: January 29, 2020, 03:34:10 pm »
I'm really excited for the upcoming spring, and I'm thinking about painting my bedroom, bathroom, and my living room. I was thinking about painting my living room light gray and my bedroom, not sure yet. Any idea? :-\

Oh, lucky you! i would love to be able to paint my walls any color I wanted to, kind of start from scratch! My husband and kids are pretty conservative, though, when it comes to room colors, so I just don't bother to paint! I would also like to experiment with some wallpaper, too!  :peace:

Gray is my new favorite color.  My dining room/kitchen walls are a light gray.  My family room walls are off white with gray accents.

I think sticking with neutrals is great.  Gray can be accented with SO many colors; bright or soft.  I think its a great idea!

Since our budget has been minimal to nothing, I like to find as many bargains as possible.  I love to go to Lowe's and check out the sales rack for paint (usually $5 a gallon).  Since you don't have a color chosen, maybe you can find something that will work for you

What color is your bedroom now? You can always go with a shade of your favorite color.
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

Can you do that to your apartment? My landlord just informed me that the boiler broke, he isn't fixing it and I have to pay my own heat now after he raised my rent TWICE last year >:( >:( If he thinks he is going ot freeze me out he is sadly mistaken.  I have been here over 28 years and he is only new for a year, Not going to happen :highfive: 8)

Yes, different shades of gray are good....they can be accented with just about any color.

I have lived in my house approximately 3 years and the walls are stark white.  I am getting ready to have them painted kind of a pale coffee color.  I would do a pale gray if it went with my decor better. THEN it is new carpet.  I hope you enjoy your redecoration and the result. :star:

I like neutrals in bedrooms and then dress up with  bed covering, pillows etc.. that way when I want to switch out my bed coverings; it is easier to match with  neutral color, but it's your bedroom so whatever grabs you then go for it. Happy Painting!!!
