Bot check
« on: January 29, 2020, 12:16:33 pm »
I completed the bot check on a Tap Research survey successfully and it said I was suspected of being a bot. I was asked to try another check, which I completed successfully and I was able to continue with the survey. Has anyone ever been suspected of being a bot after successfully completing the bot check?

Could be a glitch. Seek them out find their contact info and contact tap Research. They are always willing to help out if someone feels like they have gotten a raw deal on something or an error pops up

Maybe they tell everyone attempting the survey the same thing just to have them try a second time. That may be one way of really proving that you are not a bot.

I don't know what a "bot" check is.

I have in the past struggled with the "captcha" pages that have you click every picture that has a named item such as "click all pictures with traffic lights".  Sometimes those captchas keep coming with more pages....
Click traffic lights,
Click crosswalks
Click fire hydrants
Click buses

That is one of the few survey error messages that I have never received.  I agree with the others that it is probably a way to make sure that you are really, really human. LOL

Sometimes there are multiple bot checks because they really want to make sure you're not a bot. Other times, they just want to make sure you're reading the questions and not selecting random answers for the survey.

Never saw this on TAP surveys but have seen it on many others but just click it and more on.  Never have a problem with the bot checks

I have taken many surveys over the years.  Many of them were on Fusion Cash and many others from different sites.  There has never been a time where I took a bot check and was thought to be a bot.

I have had to re-take a captcha but I was never considered a bot.  That's good that you were able to do another check successfully and move on to the survey.

 :cat:

Bot = Robot

just a shortened version of the word

People program their computers to answer certain questions to get the survey or poll to give them the disqual or some other form of compensation so all these checks, captchas and weird questions are created to prevent that.

I have never been suspected of being a Bot. I think that there was some kind of glitch. I am glad you finally got through the Bot check and you are really a Human Being.

Wow!  That's a new one.  I can't even imagine how that would work.  Would somebody use a bot to answer survey questions?  I guess there's always gonna be someone trying to beat the system!
