In Michigan it is not uncommon to have temps in the negative numbers. I don't know how low it has exactly been but it's cold!

I have been exposed to wind chills of between sixty five to seventy below zero when I used to live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The summers in Wisconsin were awful with humidity and bugs. It seemed like it would be overcast from September first until May thirtieth with a few days of sunshine that would only happen when I was trapped in an office. I moved to Colorado where it is arid (minimal to no humidity), rarely goes below zero and provides me with sunshine over three hundred and twenty days a year. I miss all of the lakes and great food-they actually do not seem to care about calories in Wisconsin and cook with butter. It is impossible to find a good thin crust pizza in Colorado and the majority of people are in good shape. The large majority of Wisconsin people made me look skinny.

Just came from Utah and it was 12 degrees at one point until my friend showed me it was zero degrees after we left. Never going back!

I don't know and don't want to think about it because I don't like cold temps.  Anything under 35 and I'm ready to move to a warmer climate.

I think around 14 degrees.  Where I live now usually only gets down to the 20s and 30s.

I'm unsure what the temp was when I lived in Detroit but I'm sure it was pretty low considering the knee high snow.

-37 with windchill……………... :o :bad:

Have to agree with you.  Chicago winters can be brutal but we have been lucky the last couple of years

In Alaska, I have experienced  -50 F...no winds-no wind chill factor.
You just to have dress properly with the right winter gear.
Here are some interesting facts:                                                                                                                                                    The highest and lowest temperatures recorded are both in the Interior of
the State of Alaska, according to Wikipedia.
Summers--High up to 90 F---Low-to-mid 30 C
Winters--Can fall bellow -60 F (-51 C)
Many tourists visit during warm weather months--May thru September and
leave before bad winter weather arrives.

I was in Minnesota for work a couple of years ago and the temperature was -21 and that was before adding in the wind chill which brought it close to -40. I am going back there this week but the temperature is supposed to stay above 0.

I honestly don't know how far it dipped down but it was to a point where My drive way actually had ice platforms.

-15 degrees F. It gets really cold in New England but it's rare to be that cold. Only when the arctic blasts from Canada make their way in.
