I was not really a Kobe Bryant fan and even less after his rape episode in Vail. Had it been my daughter, his untimely death would have occurred 07/02/2003. The settlement happened out of court. the following statement resonates in my heart "When asked about bruises on the accuser's neck, Bryant admitted to "strangling" her during the encounter, stating that he held her "from the back" "around her neck", that strangling during sex was his "thing" and that he had a pattern of strangling a different sex partner (not his wife) during their recurring sexual encounters. When asked how hard he was holding onto her neck, Bryant stated, "My hands are strong. I don't know." People can turn around and do a million good things after a bad mistake but it is hard for me to forgive someone who I feel was never adequately punished.

I don't follow basketball, but people seem to worship him. Being great at throwing a ball through a hoop doesn't make you a good person. Even if that situation was consensual, he still cheated on his wife. But I wouldn't wish death upon someone for that. His children lost their father and sister. Plus the other lives that were lost. They didn't deserve death because of his wrongdoings.

Then don't expect anyone including God to forgive you.  The Bible says if you will not forgive man then God won't forgive you.  And Kobe did not even do anything to you so you have no reason to hate him.  I don't like him and have never really even known much more past his name. And think it is sickening that people are acting like they did when elvis died. I wasn't around but I heard about it. lol

Crash was within 15 minutes from me.

The helicopter carrying Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, left Santa Ana in Orange County shortly after 9am

I don't follow sports or know the guy at all really but this is so sad. I also kind of feel bad that you have 9 people killed and one has crowds of people and media coverage while the others are totally unmentioned. I know they weren't famous but their families are mourning too.

This still doesn't feel real. RIP to him, his daughter, and the rest of the souls on board that helicopter. :(

It has been a week today since he and eight others (including his precious daughter) perished. And I still cannot believe it. Goodness. My thoughts and condolences to the affected families.

I certainly extend my condolences to the families involved, but I did think the Lakers and Trailblazers game would have been better if the announcer would have done a better job calling the game instead of making it an extended tribute show. It did get a little better after half time when Dame started raining threes and they couldn't help but notice.

It is very tragic about what happened to not only Kobe, but the other people that were on that helicopter as well.

Sad to hear about Kobe's passing. He was one of the all time greats on the court. Having one of his young daughter's die with him, it's such a tragedy.
