Just like the other folks who have responded, I didn't know you could make vinegar in your own home. We use vinegar for a number of purposes, such as canning, cleaning, in general recipes, etc. I'm going to have to look this up on YouTube to see how easy it is. Thanks for the info!  :peace:

I have not made vinegar at home before and don't think I will try it anytime soon. It seems like too much work to me. I use both white and apple cider vinegar for many different health and cleaning purposes and I think it is cheap enough to buy to the point where I don't think I need to worry about making my own.

I do use vinegar on a regular basis for cleaning but as cheap as it is, I think I'll just stick with store bought.

I did not know that about vinegar.  I would like to try making it at home, can you share?

I use Vinegar for a number of reasons too, but I did not know it could be a Fabric Softner. Thanks for that tip. I never heard of making Homemade Vinegar either and never paid attention to the ingredients either. Good Luck with your Project. I use Vinegar on Sunburns from laying out in the Sun. It draws the Heat out of your skin where you will stop burning. I also use it to clean my Coffee Maker and I use it with a lot of different foods.

Salt is also a part of the weed killer.  Someone told me about this and I looked it up on google and been using it every year.

We love vinegar and use it for so many things: Mopping the floors, cleaning the glass, salad dressings, washing the pets' towels and sometimes I gargle with it if I'm getting a sore throat.  If you try that, I suggest that you water it down significantly so that it won't be too strong.

As far as making my own vinegar, I've never looked into it. I'm sure it can be done, though, it seems like you can make just about anything else.

I had no idea you could make your own vinegar. Is it really cheaper than buying? I didn't think vinegar was that expensive.

I never heard of making homemade vinegar.  I do like using vinegar and baking soda for cleaning.

I have made apple cider vinegar many times. It has so many great uses.
Vinegar is great as a fabric softener, if you mix it half and half with a cheap good smelling hair conditioner it works great.
