It's only the 2nd day of the New Year and the scammers are already at my door.  This guy came to my door stating someone needed money for a funeral for a relative. I told him to call the city, maybe they will help you out.  He attempted to get my attention again-I closed my door.

Smart move - that is really taking it to the limit to knock on someone's door. My big one is when I am in a parking lot and people come up to me looking for money for gas.

When they come to my door I always have both dogs with me and my screen door is locked.  Then I ask if I can see their village issued permit to go door to door.  Which of course they never have so I state I will need to call the police because this is a requirement in our village.  I love this as most apologize and say they are not aware of the permit

I had a similar scam it was back in August or young girl knocked on my door went to use my phone she kept wanting to get in the house but I would not let her then I heard the back door rattle so I went and let my dogs out and hollered to demon my dog to go to the back door she yelled and they took off running demon would’ve had a nice snack had he come through that door
