12 Days of Christmas
« on: December 27, 2019, 04:42:23 pm »
I would expect most everyone has heard of the 12 days of Christmas or Twelvetide -- between Dec. 25 and the Epiphany (the arrival of the wise men from the East after 12 days' journey) on Jan. 6 -- the Christian celebration of the Nativity.  It has been interpreted to have hidden meanings, sung about, spoofed (all in good fun); nonetheless, respected as the events following the birth of Jesus have been reaffirmed throughout the ages.

As we are now in that period of time, does anyone have any thoughts, serious or otherwise (respectfully, of course), about those gifts named in the song, "The 12 Days of Christmas," starting with that partridge in the pear tree, two turtle doves, three French hens {for example -- representing faith, hope & love}, four calling birds, five gold rings, etc.?

Why dont you read the 2nd chapter of Math and see after the 3 astrologers found Jesus after the star first took them to Jerusalem where the murderous King Herod pretended he also wanted to honor Jesus but really wanted to kill him,and when the 3 didnt return back to him he had every 2 yr old boy murdered in Bethlehem.

12 days of Xmas....LOL!!!!

I will do you the favor.....

Matthew 2 King James Version (KJV)
2 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.

8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.

9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.

11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.

12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.

17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

18 In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.

19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

20 Saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child's life.

21 And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.

22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was afraid to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee:

23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

So we can discern that Satan put the star in the sky because it took the astrologers to Jerusalem first to confront the murderous Herod.

Note that after Herods men were able to discern Jesus was in Bethlehem and tell him the star moved again right over where Jesus was.Gods angel warned the 3 and Joseph what Herods intentions were.Joseph took Mary and Jesus to Egypt while the 3 left for their country another way.

Herod was incensed when they didnt return back to him and went on his murderous spree.

Just more proof from bible how pagan Xmas is and how a nativity scene turned into murder.

Why do people have to take the joyful birth of Jesus and try to turn it into something bad.  Everything that happened was part of God's plan.

Joy?Read Math 2nd chapter silly.

Quite delusional you are to make a comment like that. Its all referenced in the bible.

Part of Gods plan?LOL!!!To have Herod murder all the children?First off God tries no one with evil.Simply put Herod felt threatened when he learned of Jesus birth. His plan was to kill him. When it didnt work out he set out to do other insane things such as murder all the children 2 yrs and under that were boys in Bethlehem.

Next you will be telling me 911 didnt happen!!Or the Manson cult were angels...LOL!

Wake up!!Stop living in a fantasy world.

Heb 4:12 New International Version
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

The answer to why some are blind.

There is NOOOOOO hidden meaning.Mathew 2nd chapter reveals the truth RE the 3 astrologers, the star and what murderous action followed by King Herod.

This isnt a question of Math 2nd chapter being pointed out to all of you and understanding.

Its more like a mom who has a child molester for a son,and proof he has attacked children, and the mom refusing to admit he is guilty.

Plain as day.Do you all desire to have a hope thats based on rubbish?Or do something for the TRUE God and support his word?

Its EZ to see in this world when an innocent person is attacked in broad daylight and many people just walk by it.

OK folks let me clear this all up for you.

First of all, Satan is not God. The JWs like to refer to him as the 'god of this world', but he is NOT a 'god' and has no power of creation. Only God has the power of Creation (on a cosmic scale) Isaiah 45 should suffice for reference.

But suppose we go with the hypothesis that Satan didn't 'create' the star, yet somehow influenced it/used a deception for it. The answer is plain as day in scripture- Matt 2:1-2

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem  and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

Did you catch that? According to the Magi, it was "His star". God's star. Not Satan's.

Reading a little further, verse 12-

And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

God warns the Magi in a dream NOT to return to Herod who wanted to kill the baby Jesus. If the Magi were used of Satan, why did they

A) Want to worship the King of the Jews (bonus points if you can explain why the Magi worshiped Jesus if He was supposedly "not" God incarnate as the Watchtower proclaims.  :D)

B) Obey God and NOT tell Herod where they found Jesus

C) Give Jesus the 3 gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh

The 'Wise Men' served God's purpose by giving Mary & Joseph the necessary funds to flee to Egypt and live there while waiting for Herod to expire.

You may ask "Why did God allow Herod to kill all the baby boys of Bethlehem?" You must first answer Why did God allow the Egyptians to kill all the baby boys of the Hebrews in the book of Exodus? Why does God allow the abortion of millions of babies a year in the U.S. alone? (Answer: Free Will.)

So you see, this is but one of many falsehoods the Watchtower puts forth to their flock, which can be easily explained by a simple reading of scripture.

You may have made more sense if u did let moderators help u.

JWs teach Satan is god <ruler>of this world.Jehovah is the TRUE God and has allowed Satan to rule this world for now to see where we all stand on rightful ruler.

You left out the star took them to Jerusalem immediately...NOT Bethlehem.Satans plan for them to confront the murderous Herod at first to  plan his killing of Jesus once they found him.As soon as they got Herods instructions the star moved right over where Jesus was....NOT at first.

The astrologers were blinded by Satan just like Christendom is today. They were wise in the sense they heeded the angels warning not to return back to Herod.

I dont even wanna get into the Jesus is God thing with u.<yawn>Psalms 83:18 Jehovah is most high over the earthNOT Jesus.Who resurrected Jesus?Himself LOL!??

And where in the bible does it say Joseph and Mary used the gifts from the Magi to go to Egypt???LOL!!Just 1 of many things u add to the bible...LOL!!Just like 12/25 or the trinity ISNT in bible.

Jehovah allowed millions to die in World Wars.....so what? The whole world lies in power of wicked one.Just proof of what an evil influential monster Satan is and how he influenced mankind.

You know as well as me the nativity scene is a murderous spree NOT some kind of oooooooo look at the cute baby!!You think Jesus or his father want him looked upon as a poor babe when he is "King of Kings"for his fathers kingdom?

The only thing u cleared up is you are quite blind!!Jehovahs people are in over 240 lands teaching preaching millions of FREE hrs!!If u cant discern who God is then its obvious where ur heart lies.
