Snow Day!
« on: November 13, 2019, 03:53:23 am »
Wow, here in Northern Indiana, we had quite the snow storm yesterday...we got about a foot of snow and my work was closed because of the weather. I haven't had a snow day since high school!  The news was calling it SNOWvember or Novemuary.  Brrrrrr.  High today is supposed to be 25  YIKES!

Here in Georgia, it is not a Snow Day, but it is the Coldest Day so far this year. We woke up to 20 Degree Weather. I could not even get my Dogs to go out.

Some of the area schools closed yesterday but not all of them.  It was cold but not as cold as it was this morning in NE KY.  17°.  Highs won't reach the 30's.
Have a wonderful day!

Here in North Carolina yesterday was rainy and cold.  Some areas in North Carolina saw snow flurries.  Today it is just very cold.

Here near Chicago we had snow and yesterday was only 7 degrees and today was 20.  Suppose to warm up to the 50's next week.

Goodness, that is COLD! I am here in Georgia, and yesterday it was a bone-chilling 29 degrees. I have NEVER experienced that much cold since moving to the South.

I grew up in Wisconsin and moved to Florida many years ago. I haven't missed the cold and snow even 1 day since being here. I have a lot of FB friends still up north and shiver when I see their pics of winter.

Don't laugh but we were actually "cool" here in central Florida that arctic blast thing is causing a lot of cold weather all over.  People laugh when I say something about it being cold or cool in Florida but unusual weather is unusual weather regardless of where you are located. :snowman:

To each their own and God Bless you, but I just can't fathom that lifestyle. I grumble when I have to clean off the car or step into an icy puddle, but I would miss the snow if I lived year round in a warm climate.

We have had two storms in the flat lands of Colorado since the middle of October: one was about five inches and the other was around ten inches. All snow was gone the day after it dumped. Colorado gets a lot of sunshine (more than many areas) and the temperatures are pretty moderate. I moved from Milwaukee, Wisconsin twenty eight years ago and have never gone back. The week that I left we had two to three days where the wind chill took temperatures to seventy degrees below zero, crime statistics came out and showed that Milwaukee had more murders per capita than any other city and I was still surviving from the humid, bug infested summer. The residential taxes were through the roof and I found myself wondering why. I do miss some of the nice restaurants.

We've had some light snow but it has mostly melted so far.  Today when I was outside around noon, the temperature was in mid 30's.  Without any wind.  It was rather "mild" even though it was cold.
