Impeach or not?
« on: November 09, 2019, 12:19:52 pm »
Has anyone kept up with Schiff's committee transcripts? Sounds like he's really being a real dictator. I need to get through the transcripts but they're so long. I am going to watch the open hearings next week. So far, I see nothing incriminating on this phone call. Schiff and Nadler want him impeached because testimony isn't heading in their direction. I say there is no evidence for impeachment.

I do see revenge from ex-Ambassador Yovanovitch just because she doesn't think the president had a right to recall her. Who does she think she is? Other presidents have recalled other ambassadors without a problem. It's just pure hate.

Then there's the "whistleblower's"-who-isn't attorney, who tweeted back in 2017 that they will take Trump down and called it a coup. The proof and evidence seems to be showing that there really is a deep state and Schiff is part of it. Otherwise, why all of a sudden would he be pushing the impeachment "inquiry" to be completed by the end of the year?  Okay, back to reading the transcripts.

Of course he should not be impeached. There is absolutely no evidence of wrongdoing on his part. The Democrats started planning President Trump's impeachment before he was even inaugurated. It would seem that they cannot ever accept his lawfully becoming president in a lawful election. After all, he will not allow our country to start heading down the road to Socialism as they wish to do.

I still do not understand the hatred that Trump inspires. My unfounded hope is that Congress would start enacting legislation and other "Congressy stuff" so they are actually doing what they are supposed to be doing. Our government is in a sorry state of affairs because of strife and hate.

The grounds for impeachment are committing treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors. Can anyone actually give any example of any of those happening in the White House?  That is, if you can honestly assess the situation without allowing your feelings to interfere with your better judgment.

I could care less either way.It doesnt matter who is in office.

Actually its quite entertaining now the divide Trump causes.I guess you will always have that, but never to the extent it is now.

A sure sign of Satans world going down the drain.

The 2 million dollar fine just imposed upon him might have to suffice.

Keep in mind that if this happens it puts Nancy Pelosi only one step away from the Presidency, then you will wish Trump was back.

I am in general agreement with those who want to see official impeachment proceedings brought against Trump. It will go absolutely nowhere and will waste considerable time and resources (nothing new to the current lot of Democrats - so nothing lost in terms of money or productivity that wouldn't already have been lost anyway). With impeachment, there is no better way to ensure that Trump will be re-elected one year from now - which is fine by me.

So let's dance this dance and go through the motions. And while you are at it, see if you can dig up another partisan whistleblower willing to make up a completely new set of false accusations with zero proof about how Justice Kavanaugh likes to rape children or commit some other offenses against humanity. There might be a few more Republican leaning voters who you haven't yet convinced to get off their butts in November of 2020.

This is posted in the "Debate & Discuss" sub-forum, which explicitly says in its description: "A place to have political, religious, and other divisive discussions. Enter at your own risk!" So while I understand your point, I think that this is the exact place where this should be allowed.
