Christmas Tree

We didn't get ours up yet this year. We have two cats. One that we've had for close to ten years that we know will try to play with the low branch ornaments, but the new cat that we just got in July hasn't yet experienced a Christmas tree in our house. Given his personality, I am afraid that he will probably be much worse. We'll soon see.


Our other cat that died about five or six years ago was always absolutely determined to climb the Christmas tree. One year she got herself stuck in the tree light cords. It was the middle of the night and she woke us all up with her commotion. She was in so tight that we thought she would either end up strangled to death or we would have to cut the cord with wire cutters - it was so tight around her - and she was trying to crawl forward. I think she had her head and one front leg through the tight opening between the cord and the tree trunk. This was a pre-lit artificial tree so the cord was much tighter than just from us stringing it up. We kept trying to force her leg out backwards, but she was convinced that she had to go forward to escape.  What an ordeal that was!

UGetPaid, Mine actually leave the tree alone pretty much. The first year was a completely different story though.  Hang Christmas wreaths inside your home.  YOU don't see them any way if they are outside.
