Even though I created another account with Swagbucks, I ended up deleting it. I am going with MyPoints. A sister site to Swagbucks and ran by the same company. Basically same thing but set up a tad different.
That seems like the smarter way to go -- going with MyPoints & starting fresh with the same company. It is too bad they don't give you a reason as to why you were deactivated on Swagbucks; hopefully you get your $25 owed to you.
If they deactivated her account for breaking rules she won't get the money. She can't get in to redeem the points. If I truly had not broken any rules I would send another email and ask again. If rules had been broken I probably would let it go. She already said everyone in her house has an account. When I first joined that site it was one account per household. But even the ones that allow one account per person and would allow more than one account per household require you to have separate emails and even computers. Otherwise the same person can be completing the same stuff over and over.
That makes sense. Bing was this same way, real strict about multiple accounts in the same household -- you had to produce an id/phone# for the additional accounts. Also they track to see if the usage is similar - similar user habits/look-ups, logging in about the same time, & on same computer are red flags & will get you deactivated. Those companies do have a clue about one user using multiple accounts & know how to spot them.
I do Bing from time to time. Takes too long to earn enough to get even $5 for Amazon. Don't fool with it much. I have cashed out and never had to give a phone number. These sites are not a job. Too many people are trying to work from home doing PTC sites and surveys. It doesn't work. You cannot earn a full time income doing these sites. You can make a nice chunk of change if you have some other way to pay your bills.
The point is the sites, as you said, know when they are being taken advantage of. It is like this site where there is one member with 15 or more accounts. They can see your IP and they know if you have multiple accounts. I know on another site a situation where a person had I think 4 accounts and was racking up the gift cards. But when they got caught ALL 4 accounts were closed and ALL points accumulated were also lost - IN ALL of the accounts. So if your account is closed by them for what ever reason and you just say well I will show you and open another account don't be surprised if you accumulate enough to cash out and your account is closed again. You can't cry about being cheated when you yourself are cheating. If my account was closed I would make more effort to find out why if I honestly did not have a clue what I had done. I have only had it happen once and after multiple back and forth was finally told it was because I did not use the account for a period of time. I was not able to access it. I said oh well and moved on. Even though they told me I could set up a new account.
