Does anybody remember Hershey syrup in cans?

My mom and I have a recipe involving Hersheys chocolate syrup and we always used to use the cans, but I haven't seen it for sale for a few years now. We use the squeeze bottle instead but it's less satisfying, I miss the can as part of our tradition. They insist it's the same product but I swear it tasted a little different, maybe it's just the nostalgia talking. Does anyone else remember this?

As a matter of fact, yes, I do remember Hershey's syrup being in a can! Wow, that was some time ago, though. As far as the taste goes, I think it does taste different, though I'm not sure if it is the product itself or if my memory of it from so long ago is just muddled.

Yes, I remember Hershey's syrup in a can. It's been so long since I've tasted it, even in a squeeze bottle, I don't know if there's a difference in taste. I also remember getting Hi-C in a big can. I loved the cherry flavor best. Then they started putting it in plastic jugs, and it did not taste as good. I don't think food should ever be stored in plastic.

I remember Hershey's Syrup in a can and I think it did taste a bit better.  It seemed thicker and more chocolaty.

i cant remember ever seeing it in stores! i cant even remember if my mom even bought it i can only remember the squeeze bottles. im sure it taste different from leaching whatever off the cans

I remember Hershey's Syrup in a can.... I believe my Ralph's still sells it that way or did until fairly recently.
I would prefer it from the can as I am trying to cut back on my plastic consumption.

We always had it at our house to put in a glass of milk but I've not seen it in store for a long time

Wow yes used to buy it in the cans all the time.  I didn't even realize they didn't sell it like that anymore because I don't buy it much since my hubby passed.  He loved that stuff wow nw that makes me want to google it to see if it even exists anymore as a product.

i do remember hersheys syrup in the can. i remember putting it over ice cream and making chocolate milk. everyonce and i while i have used the squeeze bottle of hersheys  but don't remember a differnce from the can.

I do! I do! I loved that stuff.... I still buy it, but in the bottle. Probably not the best for you, but good every now and then on ice cream!

Yes, I remember it!  It was a well-used staple in our home.  We were always baking with it.   I have bought the big plastic bottles for years now since my husband has to drink milk with his medicine.  Chocolate milk makes the medicine go down easier.  I haven't seen the cans of Hershey's syrup in years but then, again, I haven't looked for it.

Haven't seen that since I was a little child, it would be so thick and syrupy. Taste good, really good.
