This sounds really interesting, I knew it was a thing I just did not know it was so readily available.

For those who don't want to set up any apps, you can also use wordcounter.net by clicking the Talk To Type button.

It does need your help for the obvious (like to, too, or two), but it does a pretty good job for me. I always keep my browser open and paste in any word I have concern about.

Wow I bet that does help out. I believe I have one as well but I am just not up to speed on how to do that. My 10 year old son helps me out a lot with technology.

The voice recognition has been around for years.  The problem is getting it to work properly.  It has to recognize all the nuances in your voice.  Good idea.  Smartphones also have voice recognition.

That's good and very convenient.  I use it on my cell phone but have to make sure it types what I actually said.  It's faster than typing it out that for sure.

The problem has been that it was hard to use and not accurate, but both of those problems have seen great improvement recently. It's not for everyone, but has been a real blessing to me.

It's so nice to see that technology can be of such great use.  To some extent it can be very beneficial but in other cases, not so much.

Glad to hear that you have found something valuable to help in your every day life.  Happy posting!

Even better, I have another website I use that I need to write posts of 250 words or more and it really helps there.

Does it have as many errors as the speech recognition software that I worked with as a medical transcriptionist? It would take a few minutes to read the text but lots of time to correct the errors. It was a real pain.  It would've been nice when typing patent applications for my attorney buddy. Those would beat least 30 pages and I got tired of typing. LOL
