Surprise Bonus
« on: October 11, 2019, 12:23:42 pm »
I hear a lot of comments from both participants of the Fusioncash website and other friends who know about it, saying it's too little money for the time we spend on each activity.

But I am learning that through our participation here, other doors may be opened  that bring additional income. For example, I just got a call from a local research hospital that is doing a study involving people over 75 years old who are willing to submit to various tests and interviews over the next year and if accepted they get $375 in cash.

The study concerns the effects on the brain from spending time alone and changes that can be made through social interaction to keep us from getting Alzheimer, Dementia, etc. I have often thought about prevention being a good idea, so helping research this area may even be self-serving.

I don't know if that would interest you, but I am going for it.

hmmm. I would not mind it either but the task should be easy if it pays little. Maybe less criteria in the actual survey so members do get some credit and the other end gets some valuable feedback.

I have diabetes so I wouldn't mind stuff like that, whether one has it or even prevention.

The actual task is easy enough, but you do need to be committed to taking part for a full year in order to earn the full reward. That is simply too long for some people to even consider it. I am not going anywhere (I hope) so I decided why not? The money comes in smaller increments at shorter intervals anyway.

Congratulations on the opportunity. You are right that FC can provide other opportunities. Earlier this year (through FC), I qualified for an online health study/panel that compensated its participants with Amazon gift cards throughout the study. It turned out to be rather lucrative.

That sounds like a good opp for you oldBuddy. I am not in the age category but getting up there as I just broke the 50 mark. I hope all goes well for it and you get your full  earned payment :)

My point was not the specific opportunity, but that it came as a result of picking up pennies on Fusioncash

I have had the opportunity for things like that but declined.  I don't think spending time alone causes Alzheimer's.  I do believe things put in our foods has a lot to do with that.

I've gotten surveys for 30 minutes for 25 cents or a dollar or two to give me opportunities to earn 35-50- & 150 on some other panel it took me to. Ones that last not long at all. The last one was a gambling one was a 1 dollar survey for 30 minutes got 150 for participating. Little surveys can really surprise you

Your study opportunity sounds like a good deal for all concerned.  If you get any valuable feedback during your study in regard to prevention, be sure and let us all know. FC may have led you to important findings concerning Alzheimer's disease.  I think most of the "senior citizens" crowd can relate to this type of study.

That is awesome that it has opened other doors for you. It is always nice to help out local researchers if you have the time and energy to do it. They typically pay well too!

Congrats on the opportunities outside of FC. Hope that happens to many of us too!

Interesting but I'm already too farr gone to be of any help and probably wouldn't qualify anyway. :D
