A Nice Surprise From Tap Research
« on: October 02, 2019, 07:52:00 am »
Last night I tried a Tap survey.  I qualified and completed my first one.  Here's the interesting part: The survey  appeared as though it was powered by Opinion Central.

A few months ago, I received an email from OC stating that the company was closing it's doors and shutting down.  Honestly, I saw that coming.  On subsequent attempts with Tap, any time the page came up as Opinion Central; within seconds, the page would close and I would be rewarded a penny or two.

I'm wondering if another survey company is taking over the OC format and maybe bringing it back.    ??? Has anyone else seen Opinion Central lately?

I got a Tap survey that promised $0.05, but paid $012.  I love that for not much time.  Good, good!

Yes Tap gives you surprises like that, I love the 0.01 cent for DQ and even more when you still get DQ and get more than 0.01 cent, sometimes it pays up to 0.0.7 cents.

That's always a nice surprise too.  There may have been times where that has happened to me. I usually pay attention to the reward amount before beginning a survey.  But I do so many of them that I sometimes loose track of the numbers.  I guess I shouldn't loose track of the numbers. LOL   :)

I have never saw that. But it is a surprise to hear that a market research firm is closing.

I got a Survey from Tap that was supposed to pay .92, but I only made .12. That is ok though. At least I got my five cents for Today's PTC, Yay!

I have noticed quite a few more survey companies/panels on Tap ever since TR was down for a few weeks recently.

While many of us may have been concerned that TR was going away, when it did come back, I noticed that there have been some interesting changes to the format and variety of survey panels available.

So, yes, I would keep an eye out for interesting things on Tap.

I've had that happen too.  I think what it is is that the survey can pay up to .92 but if you are only able to complete a portion of it ( for whatever reason ) your payout is based on what you complete.

Many of the survey invitations pay withing a range.  As long as you continue to stick with it, you should do well.  It usually doesn't take much time at all to qualify for the ptc; just keep going.

I know what you mean.  I get that very often.  You know that you're having a good survey day when you get a DQ bonus of at least a nickle or more.

Needless to say, I get plenty of good survey days when I spend even a few minutes on Tap.  It is, by far, one of the best and one of my favorite survey platforms.

I have noticed the Opinion Central surveys you mentioned above.  Last week I completed one offered through Peanut Labs and received credit for $0.21.  However, recently with Tap I've attempted one or two (sometimes not qualifying and getting the penny), but last night I kept getting the message that the quota was met and receiving no DQ cents.  So, I think I understand your point.

So I'm not the only one noticing this; that's good to know.  I'm wondering if the company is under new management.  The logo looks the same.  Oh well, we may never find out.  One thing is for sure: It's a nice thing to get a survey from a company that is supposedly no longer in business, complete it and get credit in the account!

I recall that Opinion Central was part of InsightExpress (a few years ago you would get a survey nearly every day on FC).  It was acquired by rival Millward Brown at some point.  According to Wikipedia, parent Kantar Group, which owns Millward Brown, announced they were unifying all their brands and consolidating all services under the Kantar name.  So, perhaps that has something to do with Opinion Central closing down.  I'm not sure, but I'm with you about getting Opinion Central surveys to complete and receive credit whenever they appear.
