I would prefer to talk. It is more personal to me. Prior to purchasing my cell phone, my boyfriend and I largely texted one another in order to maintain contact. While I enjoyed it, I missed hearing his voice. Now that I have my iPhone (he has one as well), we FaceTime constantly. Now, not only can I hear his voice, I can see his face as well.

I mostly text rather then talking now since it makes it easier to do for me that is.

I do more texting than actually talking, but when the conversation goes over 2 min. , then I will call them.

Because communication has always been a problem for me, texting would be better but if I'm having a lengthy conversation, I'd rather talk.

I like texting because you can do it when it's convenient.  So many times my phone rings when my hands are wet, doing dishes, or I'm in the bathroom or in the shower.  It's only ever robo calls so I don't worry about it but, I really prefer texting these days.  I don't like the onboard keyboards, though, so I got a bluetooth keyboard just for my phone.

Depends on the question/conversation.

I am so fascinated and amazed with all this new technology.  Many of my peers refuse to even have email, and they would never consider texting.  I think it's fabulous.  I love texting, and typically, I would much rather text than talk on the phone. I only call if it's something I can't explain easily via text.  I am always reminded of being a little girl and reading about *bleep* Tracy's wrist watch radio in the funny papers. That concept was simply mind blowing science fiction, and now almost every person you see is attached to a hand held device that can do way more than *bleep* Tracy's ever could!

I found texting was very convenient when my dad was in the hospital.  My family could keep each other updated without disturbing dad.  The rest of the time, I think it depends on the situation.  If someone texts and I'm driving, I usually try to call them, but understand if they don't answer, they may not be in a convenient place to talk.  Texting does allow us to communicate when chatting would not be appropriate.

It kind of depends whether I am looking for an in depth conversation or I just need to let someone know something without needing a response. Also it can depend if I am in an environment where texting may be easier than calling (i.e. a really loud place or somewhere that needs to be quieter for whatever reason).

99% of the time I would rather text than talk.  But sometimes you just need the face to face.

If the person lives in town or close by id rather talk texting being that close is so impersonal and a waste of time. Now if the person is far away id rather talk unless they couldn't where i could just text them then id just text them

I prefer to text.  Never really liked talking much on the phone for some reason.

I prefer to text than talk because i'm not social & I can express my feelings better & be brutally honest.
