Some of the idiots who make these surveys and insert trick questions the person making the survey is stupid and does not know the answer themselves.

I have been asked how may gigabytes are in a terabyte several times.  I answer 1000 and then I get told sorry you do not qualify.  WHY?  My answer is correct.  I even googled it to make sure I was correct.   

Maybe they didn't want people that would be smart enough to google and find the correct answer.  Maybe picking the wrong answer was what they wanted >>> LOL

No they want you to pick the correct answer.  It was a survey where you need to be knowledgeable about that type thing. There are 1000 gb in a tb.  BUT like someone else said it is 1024 if you use binary.  They do no specify which one they want.  But 1000 IS correct.  What is bad is they can use this to say you failed a trap question and report your account.

The only reason I googled was to make sure I was correct.  And I was.

Surely they know people are going to search the internet to get the right answer if they do not know.

I get that kind of survey too. Its frustrating sometimes. But sometimes I get lucky to get the easy survey.

I looked it up and it's actually 1024....try that next time...

Asked our IT person at work about this and he claims both are correct.  But when I use 1000 I get DQ'd so now I use 1024 and the survey progresses.

The Advertisers trick you into getting all your answers from you and as soon as you get to the end of the survey you are being disqualified. That really pisses me off.

Right.  And they do use your answers.  A lot of times if you say you will not purchase said product and that is who is behind the survey they won't pay you.  MY thing is instead of kicking me out at the end because I said I will never purchase or use your product why don't you ASK my WHY I would not be interested in using your product.

And just because someone else says they WILL use it doesn't mean they actually will purchase it.

I would not have had an answer to the question but it kinda looks like it doesn't even matter if I did because I would be DQ'd anyhow.

Well turns out there is NO technically correct answer in the choices.  I got it again today and I thought well I will try the 1025.  I got DQ. 

1000 is a correct answer but it kicks me out after that every time.  Binary is 1024 but the closest to that is 1025.

Oh well.  At least it is a kick out quick and you get a penny and can move on to something else.  I just think it is sad that they say YOU need to pay attention to our survey and give thoughtful answers when they can't even give well thought out, makes sense questions, with all the words spelled correctly.  I find mistakes in surveys constantly.
